I ordered this from richer sounds a couple of days ago. If you manage to get a price match please let me know. I doubt they will do it as their terms for price match say that it's gotta have same warranty. Co op are giving 1 year, and richer sounds are giving 5 years.

I bought this exact model 3 weeks ago from amazon. It's an ok all rounder but theres noticable vertical banding on panning shots. The entire screen literally goes stripey at times. Thought there was a problem with the set so exchanged it for a new one and the banding is still there so thinking of just returning it for a refund. For some reason it isnt noticable when watching blu rays or gaming on ps4 but is pretty bad on Sky across all SD and HD channels and on the tv's built in smart apps mainly lovefilm, youtube and iplayer. Everything else is perfect though. 3D is amazing and sound is pretty good too. No 3D glasses included with this model and they're around £15 a pair. Samsungs smart touch remote doesnt ship with this model which I felt was a bit misleading as it's frequently shown with the tv in promo pics on amazon and samsungs website but does ship with the model up that has an improved refresh rate. If you plan on using the web browser or anything that requires frequent text input, forget it as you'll be there all day with 4 arrow keys and an enter button. Thought I'd share this as I couldnt find any reviews for the 60" model when puchasing.

Cheers seezyf, I've got the same problem on a 4 year old 47'' LG. Had the panel changed under warranty, still no difference. Thanks for the heads up chap, I think I'll give this one a swerve based on what you say.

For the guy having issues with banding, try going into your sky box settings and change resolution to 1080i It worked for my 60" plasma looks great on sky now but used to look terrible on 720p!!!!!

This TV is only 200hz. I was told you need at least 400hz for a decent speed. Please correct me if I am wrong

Sounds like someone told you a load of rubbish to me. "At least 400hz for a decent speed" what on earth is that even supposed to mean? The average person has literally no clue about any of the technical aspects of tvs let alone what the refresh rate means, does or how it effects the viewing experience. They just think more is better. It's just like the average joe who has no idea about cameras will still ask "how many megapixels?" Because even though they have no idea what it really means they heard off the bloke down the pub that more is better.

Don't forget that blurays are 24fps and even console games rarely hit 60fps. When you use the the motion enhancement features of these tvs they just draw a load of interpolated frames to make the numbers up which is great if you're watching sport but looks cheap and artifical if you're watching a movie. The first thing I look for in a tv is if you can turn those features off.

It's always been set to that. The problem is with the TV as built in apps and menu screens get it too.

Can you turn it off? It might make a difference but I don't know. It's possible it's some kind of internal processing that isn't activated when using an external source. Does it have some kind of cinema or 24p mode?

Having said that I wouldn't expect this banding anyway just from using some of the effects turned on but I guess it's a start.

Yeah they can pretty much all be turned off and make no difference to the banding at all. I used my own settings and even tried recommended settings from a thread over on av forums.
