...And not really HDR... Found this on flatpanelhd.com, the article reviews the Samsung range....

....We are entering the 6 series. These are no longer branded “SUHD” but will still offer 4K resolution. Samsung also advertises HDR but be aware that none of the 6 series models have the hardware to reproduce HDR, hence “HDR processing”. They can receive the HDR material but not reproduce it.

neither the Hisense nor the Samsung are "top level" so asking about bit panels and hdr etc are a bit pointless. You have to think of these sets as basic, entry level units, they're 4k, some may call "HDR ready" like the old HD ready, but they certainly don't have the most up to date tech that 10 bit panels, UHD premium, full HDR etc have, but then what do you expect for such bargain prices? Both the Hisense and the Samsung 6 series are good value for what they are, just don't expect top tech for rock bottom prices.

If you want top tech go for a Samsung 7 series, you have to think of the 6 series as the "sale" range, the units they can pump out en masse and offer deals and sales on whilst the top tech stays rather flat in price, gradually reducing over time.

The 7.7% quidco cashback is on selected TVs, the above TV is not within the selected TVs included. Cashback would be at 1.58%. £679, minus the £10.73 you may get in cashback. £668.27. Still not a terrible price.

I got the hisense and think it would be nuts to spend double this for 10bit HDR. The picture is amazing and I am completely satisfied with it.
