Voted hot, seems good for the money.

*edit* seems this cam has a 16:9 screen yet can only record video in 4:3 , who on earth wants to record video in 4:3 anymore? Can't change to a cold vote but would if I could.

720x576 is not only a 4:3 res but also can be applied to a 16:9 picture.

Something i dug up: It’s a common misconception that there are more pixels in a recorded 16:9 SD image than a 4:3 one because in reality all PAL D:1 images are actually 720x576 pixels, it’s just that a true 16:9 image is anamorphically squeezed into 720x576 pixels.

TBH im not hot on the subject but i think its the way the camera records the picture all squashed and then the source player un-squashes to make the video fit ?? Someone help me out here lol ?

Seems a great price though... just a shame im now in love with the Sony TG3 else i would of gone for this.

Oh and also dont forget 2% QuidCo on this aswell ;-)

This is a superb little camera which I bought for £170 back in April. I would gladly pay £170 for it again so this price is a steal. It is simple to use and produces stunningly good pictures even at my little girls disco/birtday party under disco lights. I have also used it for filming cricket and the close ups it produces are excellent. You really need a tripod for steadiness when zoomed in but they cost peanuts. I'm no techy but for a complete novice this is a cracking deal. Remember to buy a sd card, I just got 8 GB for £11.50 delivered. This allows 4 hours filming at super fine setting. Battery life is about 2 hours.

Just out of interest... if i got this and ive already got a ED member card does it mean that i get a free 3 year warranty on it. I read the terms as once ive got the card any order i place after my initial order (£699) qualifies ? Or is it still only on purchases of over £200 that are marked ?
