there are refurbished WB690s on amazon for 80 quid which is very similar in specs to this (altho only 12MP) is there a big difference?
No difference at all. Go for wb600. Great camera for £70 on Ebay
Not as good as the livingsocial deal on the Sony HF90 for £100
This camera does not have built in Wi-Fi.
The Wifi heading was what made me look at this. But it does not have Wifi so nice camera but nothing out of the ordinary.
Great if your going to the Olympics as they won't realise it has a 'long lens'
On Argos outlet on eBay you can get the Samsung W690 new for £69.99 in black or £59.99 in silver and it's very similar specs, but doesn't have wifi!
meh, no wifi which was the only thing that caught my eye

Should be changed or expired as it is not as described.
I got the wb150F for £135 recently (from simply electronics - had a euro plug - they provided a travel adapter but still bought a UK one), this seems a good price if you don't want WIFI.
Not as good as the livingsocial deal on the Sony HF90 for £100
have you a link for this deal please as I cannot find it on the livingsocial website
Why doesn't this just have 1080p :( and a high fps video recording mode (I don't mind if it is at very low resolutions for that mode)
Mines going back as the picture quality is not great. Lots of noise on pictures and there image stabilisation doesn't work too great, resulting in blurry photos :(
