Zen 4 GB is back at under £45 at Amazon.

Please change title to reflect that this player is actually a 2GB player NOT a 4GB one Still a cracking player and a pretty good price, but the 4GB one is £79 and not reduced at Currys. Best bang for buck is the 8GB one at £49.99

Only reserve & collect for the 8gb & doesnt seems to be many in stock anywhere.

Still stick by the 4gb Zen @ Amazon as being best value as I'm not sure the Samsung is expandable.

A good buy though & voted hot.

Me too. BT is the dogs but drains the battery. I've noticed that no one quotes battery life with bluetooth on.
:?

I'm tempted and there are a fair few near me. I've reserved in a few stores to cover my back.

Goona get an 8gb one and I don't even want it LOL

Got an 8GB one, but XP just does not want to know. Got a yellow exclamation in device manager, installed the lastest software from the Samsung site, same thing, am proper ****** off, will search the net a bit more but I can see it going back tomorrow!

Got it going at last!!!!!!!!! You have to first disable the LibUsb-Win32 Service, go to Start-Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services, find it in the list, stop it. Then go to C:\Windows\System32 and delete libusb0.dll and libusbd-nt.exe.

Good one. I was too late to pick mine up and started having doubts after you're first part of your post.

I think I'll buy still. Let me know what you think of it.

After getting it to work fiiiinally after hours of messing about I think it's very good, the sound is spot on, better than my iPod 4gb video which I sold a couple of months ago. The radio is crystal clear even indoors. I'm getting ready to convert some video for it so will report back once I have tried it.

Oh yeah, I found a forum with loads of info on it for the T10 http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=120

I used XMedia Recode 2.0.7.0 to encode a 717mb video, it took it down to 297mb, the o=picture quality is top notch as is the sound. The program has settings for many devices including the T10.

It's still got to go back, disabling libusb seems to turn off USB 2.0 functionality on my laptop, that's no good.

Search the net before you buy, there are many people with the same problem. A mate got the 2gb one yesterday, he runs Vista Ultimate, he had the same problem but after hours of messing about it just decided to work!

Ive got an 8gb one of these and it works fine in Vista Home Premium. I dont really like the bundled Emodio software, but hey ho.

Also, a firmware update allows you to play AAC files (Itunes files) bu these need to be the DRM free ones (or you need to strip the drm...)

Video is top quality, sound is good and has a radio too. The thing the Mrs doesnt like is you cant play the games and listen to music at the same time. Its one or the other.

Also when I bought this one, there was a deal to get the USB mains charger for an extra penny. I dont know if thats still around but might be worth asking if you are going to get one.

Voted hot.

EDIT: This isnt really touchscreen either - the screen is above the controls which are 'touch screen' in so much as they are touch sensitive rather than real push buttons, but its not the same as an Ipod Touch

I spent about 7 hours on it yesterday/last night/early am. I'm no noob that's for sure. I've never come across something so impossible to get working in my 18 years of using computers!

Nobody has the definitive answer for XP users, most people just say download the latest software from Samsungs site, uninstall the old, install the new, uninstall the device from device manager and then reinstall it manually, update WMP11, etc, this is all obvious and I did all these things before searching for answers, there is no real solution other than turning off the libusb service which isn't really a solution, more a work around. Currys had better not mess me about when it comes to getting my 49 quid back as I didn't give up easily!
