Use code VCPG3 for £3 off.

Says they have an OLED screen as well.

Thanks - very nice heads up as I had two reserved at Argos but they were white (ie tft), so hoping these will be oled and possiblly £18 cheaper each after cashback (I did two separate orders - one via quidco and one via tcb to improve my payout chances)

Yep it certainly does. This device has a HUGE following on Modaco. http://android.modaco.com/category/453/zte-blade-blade-modaco-com/

just reserved 1 at argos is there diferent screens ?

If you want the OLED version make sure this one has the OLED screen, the ones going out now have TFT screens but stores are still stating the original spec of OLED. Saying that some people are stating the TFT version has as better touch panel.

Yes there are.
No real difference TBH, just have to be careful if you decide to flash a new ROM on it. (Need to get a TFT ROM for a TFT phone)

Remember if you're on Orange PAYG already, you can phone up their sales team and get this for £78.99 including £10 top up. Need to be a PAYG customer already though. Orange shop currently have white and grey in stock.

Both descriptions says it has OLED screens (_;)

This won't have an OLED screen. There was a big shipment to the UK of these phones yesterday - Orange started selling again yesterday. None of these phones (Orange or anywhere else) will still have OLED - unless its old stock (which it wont be).
#15
Good price, just as long as they delivery before christmas!
#16
When originally released (early Autumn) the Orange San Fransisco was OLED'd. Later grey models are TFT (eg as sold by Orange to me last week, described as 'TFT'); all white models are TFT and many sites haven't updated their spec list.

If you are after an OLED one then buy one advertised as being OLED and that way I guess you could claim doesn't meet advertised specification in a significant way and hence be able to reject it.

Ordered! I was trying to get one form Orange from the deal posted a week ago but their communication is atrocious (Had to phone up 5 times), phoned up today to cancel my order and found it was already cancelled and they hadn't bothered to tell me :/ NEVER buying from Orange.

Heat added!

Who are these people? They're in serious need of a copywriter who's literate! Hope they run the business better than that. Good deal on a great phone though.

Claims OLED but see thread above. Can anyone comment on the TFT in use?

ordered, used TCB and applied the code for £3 off, many thanks, fingers crossed i get it soon

I have a TFT one already and whilst I havent compared side by side to an OLED, the main advantage for me of an OLED is the increased number of roms that are out there right now. The chase this is OLED combined with the cheaper price make this is a much better deal than the Argos one (and if they are TFT I wont be too upset given the price).
#21
too expensive. I got mine last month for £79. My g/f got hers last week for £79. I rang up orange and she did hers on the orange website. Hers included cash back mine did not. see the other posts on this.... yes these two were both current deals which might be expired now but its more then likely it shall be on offer again, who knows. Great phone by the way! No problem. The white one feels a bit 'plasticy' compared to the grey.
#22
oh yeah, ours both included £10 top up and free delivery

excellent phone, just bought one to replace my blackberry 8520. I have a TFT one and used a "Finnish Fillyjonk" Rom. Runs very well with no Orange branding.
#24
Reserved one for pick up later, thanks.

site down :(

Want a mobile phone for the wife this looks quite good. She is on the Tesco network - £10 per month deal - can you definately unlock this phone to any network? I remember buying a Nokia Xpress music and no one could unlock the phone from the orange network so I had to re sell it.
#27
descriptions mean jack **** now and are not a guarantee that you will get an OLED screen. Not even the official orange staff are savvy or technical enough to know the difference between OLED and TFT and there stock system never described mine as an OLED even though it was. It's hit or miss now whether you get an OLED one from online stores. Good Luck.

I have a TFT one and my mum has an OLED one, there are some minor differences in the case and the OLED screen is better, only just though.
Very happy with mine on Android 2.2. :D
#34
Might be being stupid but does it say what colour it is, I want a black one and although the picture is obviously black I dont want to end up with white.
#35
The description on the prepaymania website clearly states TFT. I have the grey TFT one from the orange deal a week ago. This is a tremendous piece of kit. I still dont get why it is selling so cheap. The TFT screen makes my HTC hero TFT look like childs play. Has a light and slightly plasticky feel but that sometimes adds to its appeal. Definitely does not feel cheap. It is easily unlocked for free. And if u can be bothered you can load a custom rom unto it. or just uninstall all the orange junk if you r not into orange that is. Most custom roms out there are are still buggy especially the 2.2 ones. Wifi dies when the phone sleeps and does not wake up without manual intervention and screen freezes. Again it is a brilliant piece of kit and I predict it wont stay cheap for long!

Hard to tell, before I got the invoice from orange which clearly stated the screen was TFT, I installed the modaco custom rom for the OLED screen, and the colours came out wrong. I suppose only way to tell is by comparing both side by side under the same light condition, the OLEDs are noticeably brighter but then the TFT have better colour saturation. Also OLED will use more battery life. In summary OLED, TFT will not make any difference as per user experience as differences are subtle.

By the case is the easiest way.
Have a look at this
Mine is the one with red cross on it,(TFT model)
Mums has a OLED screen.
Look at the bottom corners where the phones are touching and you can see that mine is 'squarer'.

Sorry for the shoddy photo but I was in a rush.

Clever! As you can see from the intial write up copied and pasted on here it did say OLED. I emailed them to confirm and they replied saying all phones were OLED.

However magically it now says TFT on their description.
