This is a pricing error, so it won't last long, but I got some this afternoon and the price is unbeatable. It works out at 64p per pint.

Both online and in store at the moment, but they will realise that they've messed up the pricing, so I'm not sure the price will be honoured for deliveries over the next few days.

Rep coming your way - cheers for that :)

Just popped over to Tesco and the offers not on anymore :(
#5
Just ordered 12 packs, wouldn't let me do more :D
Housemates all wanted a couple each. Hope this gets honoured, I will not be happy otherwise.

The current instore offer at my local Tesco is 2 packs for £6.00 (I bought them the other day). Although the 'glitch' is showing online be aware that their policy is to charge the instore price at the time of delivery

Not at my Tesco in Halifax sowerby, not at kings cross at hx either, just ordered online for first thing delivery, but wont it be out of stock if none in my local store??

Thanks for the heads-up WonderWoman! I can always refuse it on delivery I suppose, might be worth a try...

I'm not sure what comments you are referring to. The price in store today (not the other day) is 2 for £3.00 and that was the price I was charged. All the relevant information was provided in the original post, including the fact that it is a pricing error that will soon be fixed.

I was told in store that web prices are nothing to do with store prices, they are totally separate , as are store to store offers, If they dont discount I will refuse the order, simple really, but worth a try.

You were told wrong:
The same offers are available online as they are in store, plus there are online exclusives. The prices we charge are the same low prices you will find in your local store.
http://www.tesco.com/grocery/onlineshopping/

Granted this means that just because an offer is available online does not mean it is guaranteed to be in store, but clearly the prices are not totally separate.

what price is online is a guide price

when they pick your order you will be charged the price on the shop floor at the time

(deliveries come from a store, not a warehouse)

if you notice you been charged mroe than the price, you can get the driver to return it for a full refund

any tesco glitches are normally picked up pretty quickly, all it takes if for one person to notice in a store, then send a note to the head office to change the prices

you will not get no where by asking the dotcom driver for the price you saw on the website as when you go to pay, your told (if i remember) that you will be charged the instore prices

you can try and speak to the dotcom manager but they don't budge very often considering it was a glitch and was quickly changed

hope that clears it up

Available at the price noted at the Handforth Dean 24hr TESCO, happy days.

Heat and rep added.
#15
rep added 2 for £3 in stores.
#16
Not online here, i'm gonna get my ass to Tesco first thing see if i can get some.
#17
Recieved mine today and Tesco have honoured the multibuy price, they will refund the price difference, happy days!
#18
bought a bootful today in 2 Tescos in Greater Manchester - it was even officially labelled as "2 for £3" on the shelf. Checkout staff were first amused with the contents of my trolley then speechless about the huge discount when it went through. I'll do some quality control checks this weekend, and will post the outcome when I wake up again in December :-D Heat & rep from me

just got 6 packs from the ystrad mynach store.did'nt scan so had to go to the customer service desk and had double the difference back!!! she took the sign down then though!

I have just been to the big store in Exeter. There were no signs up - except a 12 pack for £10... Took 2 to the counter and she said that it £3.74 for a 4 pack, asked what it was for 2 and she said £3. I said hang on ran back and got another 18. 80 bottles for £30! Love San Miguel it is what i usually buy, so happy days!!!!

P.S - heat & rep added

Got the last 2 in Tesco's Nailsea, had to argue my point at the checkout though.

They've taken the sign down now :x

This will most likely be fixed by the morning, these things usually take a day or so to filter through the system.

If only there'd been more on the shelf...

Still available online till 18th nov

Now scanning at 2 for 6.78:x

Some people are reporting this on other forums, while others are reporting that the discount is being applied, so it looks like it varies between stores. Obviously, if the shelf edge label says 2 for £3.00 and it goes through at the full price, then you will get better than free beer by means of their double the difference refund policy.

Got my delivery today, discount didn't come through. Had no problems returning the beer. Oh well.

Went to my local Tesco in Inverness and bought 4 packs. Came to £13 someting. I went to Customer Services and they honoured the deal and refunded the difference (not double the difference though). Anyway 16 bottles for £6 can't be bad. I also bought Walkers Sensations for 75p a bag. Heat added.

You should have just got the discount refunded.

Fair enough, but they ripped you off. Their policy is that if you are overcharged you get a double the difference refund. There is no excuse for them not following this policy.

Hopefully this is working tomorrow, got a Tescos just up from where I am now :D

Didn't work for me in Broughton half an hour ago

worked for me in the St Helens Tesco at 10pm last night, 48 bottles for £18. Bargain.
#32
Priced up as 2 for £3 in Oxford Tesco last night, but scanned at full price. They honoured the price when I pointed it out to them so all good - voted hot!
#33
Got myself a few of these babies last night. One of the Manager's of Tesco's in Shoreham-by-Sea mentioned that they are aware of the misprice as it should be 2 for £6, they believe their head office will be sorting out the issue TODAY!

HURRY!
#34
is this expired yet? just about to go if not!!
#35
I ordered 6 packs online yesterday morning, for delivery last night. When the driver arrived the ordered was at full price. I queried it, and he said I should call customer services, which I did, and they were very happy to refund the difference, and apologised profusely.

Was on this nectar when over there last week - delicious!

Sadly, this is not the same beer as you were drinking, as it is brewed under licence in the UK by Scottish and Newcastle.

At my online store, they have finally fixed the error, so it is now the 660ml bottles that are 2 for £3.00 and the packs of 4 x 330ml bottles are just showing as £3.48 each. This probably means that the deal is over, but if you find a shelf edge label advertising 4 x 330ml bottles at 2 for £3.00 then you will get better than free beer by means of their double the difference refund policy.
