Can't you get 10% cashback with Amazon if you make your own affiliates account?
#6
You're not allowed to purchase goods via your own amazon links.

Hi everyone I have one question:

Does anyone know how to prevent FILE TRANFERRING from a USB?

I don't mean a password protection, I mean as in I want to put something into a USB and stop anyone from taking it out (but at the same time they can read the data in the USB).

Many thanks in advance

You could make the file read only but that's a very basic way of doing it and easily worked around.

Good price, poor design, so I'm not voting.

I agree, the USB tends to retract when plugging this in.

Even if Amazon was selling this at £20, I would rather buy from there than Play.com.

At-least Amazon gives a damn about their customers.

Voted hot.

I have this drive. Great price and speedy too. The U3 tools are pretty useless but other than that at this price you can't really go wrong

Thanks:thumbsup:

Thanks, have ordered one. Have been waiting for this to drop in price.

Whats the problem with PLAY , I must have ordered 20-30 items this year and not a single issue ?
Have they become the new one to hate for no reason or isnt that still Ryanair.

I think the peeps are most likely referring to after sales warranty issues i.e. they don't want to know about any faulty products; as they claim UK distance selling laws aren't applicable to them citing their loaction as being out of juristiction.

just pray none of your 20-30 items develops a fault. PLAY only offer 28 days warranty with their products as they are not in the UK.

I disagree, we've got 3 of these devices knocking around our house and all are excellent, no problems with any.

Good deal!

Am sure the 'U3' formatted USB Sticks allow you to do this :

Back to £17.99 :-(

ofc it is, play put their price back up so amazon dont need to be 2 quid cheaper :)

also prefer amazons vastly superior customer service
#23
It's actually £17.99.

Isnt 6% of £16 only £0.96 ? Kind of getting critical here.

Well for those unaware, Amazon doesnt give a damn about its customers and is registered in Luxembourg while play.com is cashing in the VAT hidden on the Isle of Wight...
Both operating from tax free heavens...Capitalism by excellence.
