This was previously posted for £15.49 at http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sandisk-16gb-micro-sdhc-memory-card/835569 . This is not a dupe of that deal though, as it is now in the promotion so you can use the code SECRETSANTA10 to get 10% off, bringing the price down to £13.94. It isn't the fastest card ever, but in terms of capacity per pound it looks like a bargain!

I ordered one to expand the memory in my HTC in terms of music playback. Will this be fast enough for that? Not interested in any video playback, may use the camera once in a while.
Good price though. Heat left.

Are these the ones that go into the R4 cards for nintendo ds?

the htc desire ships with a class2 card so this will be fast enough for any playback use. the slower cards will struggle with hd video recording and the like but thats not an issue for you

Although it is a class 2 ie: 2 MB/s "sustained write speed" which is deemed slow (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speeds ), it generally will have a faster read speed; it is good for most normal function like storage and replaying of audio, normal video replay to mobile screen, docs storage, etc. Great Price!

To confirm is this Class 2 no good for 720p video recording on HCT desire for example, shame still waiting for update from measly 4gb on desire.

£1.75 more can get class 4

Anyone know if the code work in the class 4 16gb micro sd card.

Yes but you need to ensure your card takes the SDHC standard, some of the older cards dont.

Ordered 2 thanks, best price I've seen for Sandisk 16g and class 2 will be fine for video viewing, MP3s & mobile games on a phone.

This card is more like class 4 in a terms of speed... (_;)

That's odd, it worked for me and is in their promotion page for the code. Anyone else had problems?

Didn't get this, but got the Sandisk Cruzer Slice 16GB USB drive, which is what I was going to buy earlier from elsewhere. Thanks for the heads up about the SecretSanta code.

£12.86, a bargain!

This any good for my new San Francisco mobile phone?
toibs#17
Bought one just before Christmas - yes it's labelled class 2, however I'm getting 5mb+ on write speed so it IS in speed terms better than a class 4!!!

I got the faster Class 4 card from Play.com for my San Francisco, it's only £2 more.

It works a treat.

Do you have this exact card?
Do you have any figures?

Cards are often sold as a certain class, but perform at the level of a higher class, so I'm not surprised, especially as it's a quality brand.
