This seems like a really good price for a 1GB memory stick pro duo (correct me if I'm wrong!). It is £23.24 delivered from amazon, but is quite a bit more than this everywhere else. I don't use one of these myself, but I believe they can be used in PSPs and certain mobile phones, but I'm not sure what other uses they have.

Product Features: High speed data transfer, Capacity: 1GB, Embedded MagicGate technology for safe transfer of copyright protected content, Compatible to all MS PRO devices with the use of an Adaptor, Compatible with Sony's PSP (PlayStation Portable), allowing you to save your game levels, listen to digital music, play your favorite video, and download and store game cheat codes, characters and game skins, MLC memory and controller technology.

It arrived today. It was estimated for dispatch between 23rd July and 3rd August so it's a good job that Amazon don't do a weather forcasting service or they'd be predicting hurricanes!! Oh... wait. :(

So thanks Emma for finding me that!! What a lot of packaging for a little tiny card!! Inside the packet it says it comes with a 5 year scandisk warranty but it doesn't tell you how to claim from it, lol. Oh well!! Never mind.

this is a very good price, half sony's price. the pic looks like most of the thing is made up of plastic ! crazy how small things are getting...
#3
Yep. It looks good... I don't know if that's any good though seen as it won't be coming out of my K750i. Great guy though in my opinion!!
#4
Yeah good price. Good to hear your recommendation Ducko. :)
#5
I've just ordered one as well, seeing as its recommended for a K750i

Lets see how long it takes to arrive:wink:
#6
I can't remember when I ordered mine... I think it was late on the 11th and it came early this morning.

I almost wnet for one of these, and then ended up picking up a sony 2GB stick for £20 from ebay. There are a lot of them going for the £20-30 mark. Not sure if they can be original sonys at that price, but the one I got looks real to me.

Heard reports that they look real, but even the fake 2GB one only has a 1GB capacity or thereabouts.... I'm not sure if there's any way you can test this?
#10
There are a few guides on the web to check if a sony duo card is fake and it looks like mine is. Apparently 95% of the sony duo cards on ebay are fake.

Although mine does hold the full 2GB, I have read that the fakes only last a few weeks before failing. On reading other feedback from the seller in greater details it looks like others have had refunds after discovering the cards are fake so I shall go that route and make do with the 1GB genuine card from Amazon.

Moral is if something sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Now £22.96 delivered!
#12
Thanks Raymondo :)
#13
Slightly cheaper at http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Sony-PSP

£21.94 including delivery plus a few percent Quidco. Edi posted this before.
#14
Ueah, well this original deal is from the 11th of july, so a lot can change in the guts of 2 months...!
#15
Emma you are onto my posts like a rash sometimes! I know this thread is old but it was reignited by Rayman. I've just been buying a Sony DSC T9 this evening and was looking for the cheapest pro duo memory cards.
I thought anybody doing the same would like to know there is a cheaper card out there, that Edi posted before. If there is a cheaper one than this I'd like to see it in this thread as I haven't bought the mymemory one just yet.
#16
Fair enough :) We all want everyone to get the best deals!
#17
bigpockets.co.uk always have cheap Memory Stick.

They had a 512MB Sandisk MagicGate for just under £8 last week!
#18
Why is this on the first page? (2006)
#19
Weirdness going on!
#20
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not better value

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000F2WMT0/ref=s9sims_c4_at1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=19V4ZRX9V0EWVNST6PJS&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=139045791&pf_rd_i=468294

Or does the high speed make a lot of difference?

EDIT: didn't realise how old this was! Why is it on hukd front page?
#21
Someone must have heated it up, anything heated over the threshold gets to the front page :-D
#22
:? there's more old posts on the front page...
#23
It's like a HUKD history lesson, who's the culprit? :)
#24
lol thought I was going mad for a minute!
So by simply heating a really old deal it goes straight to the front page! Weird system!
