If you search the net you may find a 2Gb SD card a few pence cheaper (possibly with postage on top) but I don't think you'll find a better in-store deal on a respected brand. And unlike some deals you can get this price if you buy just one - multiple purchase not necessary.

They're in 'dump bins' with other Sandisk memory stuff in the electricals dept.

The link to Tesco Direct is still showing at £6.97 but picture shows it marked as SDHC so i don't know if this is the same one (didn't know SDHC went below 4Gb anyway).

2gb is nothing any more and not worth around £6 anyway.

Not the most helpful or informed post was it? By all means leave comment if it adds something useful.

2Gb may not be 'leading edge', it just happens to be a very handy and sensible size for a compact camera. You don't want to risk all your precious pics on one enormous card do you?

Also, not every camera accepts SDHC for larger capacities.

What it's "worth" is your own view, but I doubt you'll beat this in the high street, especially on a respected brand. Please advise if you know different.

If you can't find any in your local store you can get Toshiba 2Gb cards from 7dayshop.com for £3.79 with free postage.

Yep, that's what I mean about better deals on the net, but if you just want one or two it may be easier to pick them up with your shopping in Tesco for the sake of a couple of quid.

High street still asking ridiculous prices for these!
