Unless you've a use for lots of small drives (a different portable Linux distro on each?), the £9.99 8Gb model is more use IMO. Quite fast, too.

Yes you right (I have one of those), but I ordered a set and I will be giving them to my kids (for school), and I don’t think that you can get them cheaper if you buy them individually.:)

Good deal for 3. I prefer smaller ones so I can keep an eye on space filling up. Losing 8GB is a lot worse than 2. ;)

These are U3 capable too, so could be used for three bespoke U3 configurations if you wanted to.

I'm looking for U3 sticks. How can you tell that these (or any others) are U3 capable. I can't see anything on the play specs to that effect?
Cheers

I got a 2gb & a 4gb version and (to some degree I took a chance) installed the software from the sandisk website & it all worked perfectly.

Why is everybody voting cold? The deal itself is actually really good. 2GB flash drives are sold at £6.99 each on average! ;-)

I agree. Three 2Gb drives suits some of my needs much better than one larger one in that I can divide & back up data on them.

I agree that you could buy more memory - 8gb - for the same price on one larger drive but there is a market for both multiple smaller drives & one larger one.

These look like the lid comes off easily, can anyone confirm or deny this?

The rubber cap is a fairly tight fit and certainly won't shake off. The main drawback is putting it somewhere safe when the drive is in use, but that applies to most.
