If it was original packaging I would be more inclined to buy it from a place ive never heard of.

Finally, it's here...

That's quite an incredible feat 32 gb on something so small, impressive , you could theoretically fit a rather sizeable library on something the size of your fingernail !

Not bad price also.

Just to confirm, this WON'T work on an OSF will it?

Are the maximum capacity micro SD cards that are compatible with the OSF 16GB?

According to the Orange website it does work. If it was made at a time when the maximum available was 16GB - that's probably what they just put down.

The lack of original packaging and adaptor sounds worrying to me.

There are lots of counterfeits about and usually they come with an adaptor when the original card doesn't. I would only buy something like this direct from a reputable company e.g. Amazon:http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDSDQM-032G-microSDHC-32GB-Card/dp/tech-data/B003HIWHN0/ref=de_a_smtd

Note the lack of any adaptor mentioned in the product description and you can see some of the counterfeits in the product images.

Good find for a Class 4. Got my class 2 from 7dayshop, and it cost a couple of quid more !
#11
Now we just need the silly prices to plummet, I'd like one for my phone but I'm in no hurry.
#12
what is the next standard after micro sd cards? Are they stuck at 32GB? I would love 128GB (or more) to get more music and files onto my (next) phone.
#13
It will take a long time for it to get much cheaper than this. Great find.
#14
Says "No stock".:(

As others have mentioned, vast numbers of these are fake so use a bit of software called h2testw to test your card (might take all night) as it's the only way to be sure. Formatting tells you nothing, sending 32GB of files to it and seeing them in file explorer tells you nothing. Only copying 32GB in and reading 32GB back and verifying tells you if it's genuine.

Yup, SDHC maxes out at 32GB unless somebody produces something non-standard somehow but then it might not work.
Next generation up is SDXC which goes up to 2TB (though it could be a long wait). Incidentally, the SDXC is the same physical size as an SDHC so it's possible (but by no means guaranteed) that the latest phones/cameras etc. may be compatible with an appropriate firmware update.

"Please note: This product is supplied brand new with an SDHC adaptor in a protective plastic case with no other retail packging."

why??

I suppose it saves on cost with no plastic packaging, less space taken in the warehouse, it will probably come in a smaller envelope than would be needed if it were in a blister pack.

A question to all the people who worry because it does not come in a retail packaging:
have you never bought OEM computer parts online? they come bundled in bubblewrap, no boxes and mostly with no drivers or manuals but I've never had a problem.

Would buy this if I needed it

Yes, but there isn't a huge counterfeit market of computer OEM stuff. There is for memory cards - most cards you buy off eBay will be counterfeit. Even play.com sent out a load of counterfeits a while ago.

Computer stuff sure, but Micro SD cards market are flodded with fakes, its fine from a reputable seller but lowpricememory has not built that. Amazon has their frustration free which I would trust but not lowpricememory.

Its finally here is it? Lol - these have been on sale for a year or more now.

Good price to be fair, although prospective buyers should be aware that 16gb micro SD cards are selling for around £13 now

As is the norm, this is just the blurb copied from the site...

If using with a psp you could buy a adaptor/convertor and have 64gb running on psp.Not sure if that applies to all memory stick duo devices

Would love it, but spending too much at the moment anyways (ended up paying more to Novatech for a replacement mobo than they'd said it would cost, pretty peed off about it, too) and still needing one or two other things. Have to miss this good deal.
Love Sandisk and Kingston cards.

you expect sandisk to issue a new sales blurb to retailers on a daily basis>
"its not been here long, 46 days after it was finally released..."
"its been a while now, 192 days after.."
perhaps not.

also h2testw wont show if its counterfeit, it will only show if its not a real 32gb card.

tbh i find it a bit worrying buying 'bulk' electronics which are normally sold to consumers in specific retail packaging.
how do you know they are new? officially from sandisk? real?
lower resale value id image too if were going to keep pack contents.

not sure but wouldn't all 32gb cards be aimed at retail packaging unless there is a specific product which actually comes bundled with a 32gb card (so wouldn't be retail packaged)? dunno if there is one or if that would be the case.

good price though if real.

How dare I update the blurb? You're quite right.

also h2testw wont show if its counterfeit, it will only show if its not a real 32gb card.

Again you're right. What's the point of "only" knowing if the card is not capable of holding its stated capacity? It's hardly the point, I feel like a fool. Thank god you were here.

or perhaps you mean "how dare someone not update the blurb for me"

i did write only and will stick to it.
obviously its good to know a stick can hold the full claimed capacity.
it doesn't show anything abut brand though.
although in this case this might be the cheapest 32gb card about (no idea) people spend money for brands.
in the case of lowpricememory they sell some totally unbranded cards.
if they sold a retail sandisk for 50, an unbranded card for 20 and a card which they claim was oem sandisk for 40 then h2testw wouldn't find a difference between them.
just because it has 32gb doesn't actually mean its good - what if due to lesser quality control the memory is slightly off centre making it fragile or the contacts aren't soldered (or whatever) fully?

anyway dont worry captain sarcastic, captain fantastic was here to save you.
#32
Sounds like a fake, now that I read more. A company like SanDisk with a brand reputation to protect would not likely allow retail sales of their product without packaging and some documentation. There is a slim chance that this is a broken down lot of a bulk-supply box for a mobile retailer to put into phones etc, but still caveat emptor and all that.

Mine arrived this morning. Appears to be legit (looks wise I mean) and the slip I received with it would appear to suggest this is bulk stock (hence the low price for a genuine Sandisk).

Hot hot deal in my opinion - obviously you can pick up 2X 16gb micro sd cards for cheaper, but for those of you like me who don't want the hassle of swapping (and consequently the risk of losing) this is a pretty tasty price.

H2testw results:

Writing
30424 MBytes
1.30.22 h
5.61 MBytes

Verifying
30424 MBytes

18.4 MBytes

Hi all,

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S2, can anyone tell me if this would be a good choice of SD card for it? is there much difference in performance?

Thanks
#38
In capacity terms this is the best you are going to get for now, I think class 4 is the fasted 32GB cards come in, if write speed is more important to you then you could get a faster 16GB card. For me most of my storage is music so size is all that matters. Nice phone by the way.
