He is properly talking more about read/write speeds and genuine & authentic cards which are pretty rare on eBay.

these are Class 2,a bit slow.

I would pay a premium for a 32 gig card, but when 16gig cards are £27 on play I think £60ish is about the right price level for me.

A few things here, firstly WHERE can you get a legitimate 16GB Micro SD cards for £12 from, certainly not Ebay. At a push you could get a 16GB SD card (none Micro) from a reputable retailer that doesn't sell fakes, and at £12 that should most definitely be posted here as a HUKD.

Secondly, those mentioning they have not had any problems at all, well good for you, doesn't make your purchase any more trustworthily reliable does it?!

File Allocation tables are renowned for corrupting and purposely displaying incorrect capacity on fake cards, if you are using them for photo taking and value your photography, you only have yourself to blame.

Thirdly, trying to compare the cost of TWO memory cards to equal the same size as the convenience of having the one is irrelevent, when it comes to flash memory, unless some special deal is on you will always find that two of the lesser sizes works out cheaper.

I for one do not want to swap between two 8GB Micro SD cards in my mobile phone, so I paid that little bit extra for the convenience of having a 16GB card instead for storage.

Lastly, this is not a deal, it's a preorder price on an item that is going to be expensive for quite a while, one thing it may do is actually push down the cost of 16GB Micro SD cards which will be great.

Or so you think, try reading this article about tricking partioning to display incorrect data size

I don't see the point in paying a premium for a 32GB card. Buy 4 or 5 16GB cards for the same price and smile. :)
#19
Are you lot wielding 2+ micros sd card slot devices or something? I mean why stop there why not just buy lots of cheap 1GB cards. DOH!!

The Deal is a joke but the way people justify their answers is laughable! Its too expensive at the moment simple as! anyone wanting a fast card not even 16GB is at Class 6 at a low price.
#20
I too hope this drives prices down on 16GB cards.

Don't be stupid. Swapping 2x16GB cards is clearly a different matter to swapping 32x1GB cards.

What's more, 1GB cards come out at ~£3 which is ~£90 for 32GB even with a bulk discount. So even if your slippery slope argument wasn't inherently fallacious, the details are incorrect.

way to go literal, point is not having to swap out!

Because 1 16GB isnt so much of a chore, surely? It's a balancing act, is it really that bad having 1 16GB that you have to change every so often? Not really for most.

2 slots would be good though.

often it is alot of a chore as esp for phones the slots are hidden under the cover/battery etc
then you have the hassle of having a 'loose' card kicking around and its storage - alot easier to lose than one stuck inside a device.
tbh only had one experience of mem cards off ebay and it was fine (and a while ago) but doubt id risk it now.

for the guy whining about 32 1gb cards then buy 4 8gb cards then apply your irrelevant nitpick.

lol i don't think this is scorching.

Sandisk will charge you £143.99 for this card - so £89.99 is a hot deal for those that want a 32GB microSD card, unless anyone knows where we can get an equivalent product significantly cheaper.

What's not so hot is pre-ordering on May 13th (7 days before release) and it only being posted today.
