My quidco has tracked at £6.84 though quidco site says you only get 6% for this type of item it seesm to have tracked at the higher 10% item rate.

Yes this is near enough 3x the price of a 16GB MicroSD but end of the day if you have an HTC Desire smartphone or similar and you want more than 16GB storage then this is what you have to pay.

Other sites seem to have this on at around this price but none in stock and date keeps changing.

Know of any higher class 32GB cards on the market? I have a class 2 16GB Micro SDHC card in my Mobile Phone and find it perfectly adequate for storing MP3.

class = minimum speeds, sandisk are usually pretty good with average transfer just they are not making any claims about sustained speed.

depends what you use it for I guess, as doing things like taking photos and installing programs is a lot slower - even opening and closing programs is affected. I use the Kingston 16gb, it's half the size and costs a lot, but its 5x faster than a class 2.

they are not making any claims about sustained speed.

which probably means it's not that great, otherwise they would be.

and? they also charge more for them.
average speed is not really related to class.
when sandisk had the 8gb class 6 ultra it was almost identical in average performance to the non-ultra class 4 8gb sandisk.
You paid the extra to get the guarantee of the 2 extra MINIMUM MB/s transfer rate.

Your class 10 will be fast ofc but then you paid the massive premium for that.
average speed tests i have seen for it give read at 25MB/S and write at 14MB/s.
14 is not much more than 10 so you are paying the premium for the min speed rather than the average.
your card will be more consistent and probably perform better in eg recording vids etc if thats your need.
have seen the class 2 sandisk 16gb card reported at 20 and 13 MB/s average repsectively but i dont have either of these to check them.

All depends on whether min speed is important to you or not.

To the idiots voting cold.

Please could you provide information where this is available cheaper and in stock.

Many thanks, stupid people!

Well it obviously was a "hot deal"...it's out of stock again in a matter of 6 hours...

That was from when I received a notification to be emailed it was in stock.

Anyways, you buy one of these on ebay and have fun because NONE of them are actually 32GB in size,

average speed is not really related to class.

and if it had a faster average speed, they would make claims about it and charge more.
Average speed is directly affected by the class, as it's the lower bound of the average.

Sandisk class 2s usually average about 4-5MB/s write speed, but definitely not 13

where do kingston make claims about 14mb/s average? thats better than 10 so why not advertise and charge more?
sandisk class 4 used to have write speeds of over 10MB/s but they didnt claim it - they dont need to so dont ask me to justify it.
They only need to give a class rating.
class rating is important for compatibility, average for convenience.

obviously average speed is affected by min speed but then its also affected by max speed. seems like your kingston has a narrow band of speeds whilst sandisk varies more.
obviously a card which transfers at a min of 10 and a max of 10 is slower on average than 1 that transfers at min of 6 and a max of 20 with a random distribution of speeds between.
