Not sure whether this deal was already added by some one here!!

The SD and SDHC memory card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products that follow the SD 2.00 specifications: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs, digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books.

The play.com cards are actually Toshiba cards with a play.com sticker over the top. They're aren't poor quality like I think you're trying to suggest . And apart from being cheaper It's also a class 4 card so it's twice as fast. I have a branded class 6 4GB play.com SDHC card in my camera. Works flawlessly and excellent quality.

Apart from that £7.00 for a class 2 SD card is very average. Hardly what you'd consider a HOT deal.

:w00t: Your missing the point. Its irrelevant that the play.com cards are actually Toshiba cards with a play.com sticker over the top.
Its all about the Card that the op posted about the Sandisk 4GB SDHC Card!! Its good value at £7.00
The same card at play.com would cost you £7.99

I'm not missing the point at all. I'm simply pointing out that a better performing SD card of the same storage capacity can be bought for less. I'm not sure why you think the class 2 San Disk card is better value for money at £7. What performance gains do you believe you'll get over cheaper non San Disk branded cards of a higher class :?.

But the main point I was making is this is not a "HOT" deal. For example...
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=102253
exactly the same card but nearly a whole £ cheaper.

Class 6
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=104377
Class 4
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=106363

So you see the going rate for a 4GB SD card is around £7 anyway. If you like paying over the odds then on you go, it's of no concern to me.

I voted cold for the reasons above.

Thanks for the post, one day you'll find a bargain. At least you have a reason for the cold votes. Sometimes they just go cold without reason.

Although cheaper alternatives are available online, I think this is a pretty good deal for a high street (ok - out of town supermarket) shop. If you really wanted one without the wait, then it's as good a price as you're likely to get at the moment.

Get them to check the price - this was advertised heavily in the national papers today.

Forget all the class 2, class 4 stuff if you're just taking holiday snaps on a point and shoot, it won't make the slightest of difference. Fair do's, there might well be 99p to save online, but if you don't want to wait five days or whatever for delivery, this IS a hot deal.
