Have used these for ages and found them both reliable and reasonably fast to boot. Bonus is they come in three distinctive colours so you its easier to remember which is which.

Out of stock online but the website showed stock in all our local shops. Though I did get the last pack from the nearest one.

I use these for a number of windows ISOs at work. So much faster than DVDs.
Have some heat.

The Cruzer Blade is one of the worst USB sticks you can buy, but people seem to like the low price, terrible build quality and abysmal performance. Lucky to get 25mb read / 5mb write speeds out of a Cruzer. Cold at any price.

gotta agree with mbeeching, sandisk cruzer blade is the worst of all usb sticks, i've got as low as 2mbps from them. cold.

The write speed is irrelevant if you are using it as a boot stick. Horses for courses.
Never had a failure but then I use genuine ones ;-)

err, cold for £2.50 each !? - jeez what do people want for the cost of a cup of coffee

Got some for the kids/wife to back up homework etc and they do just fine
