A hopeful reminder but the cashier will find it hard to accept an electronic flash stick as "stationery and cards" though it is under the "stationery" category on their web site BUT the killer response from the cashier is reading the voucher condition which excludes online transactions so you cannot deliver it to the store. Worth a try to see if there is stock at the store with the £5 voucher but the offer expired today.

Topcashback pay 4% cashback on reserve & collect at Currys.
Doesn't amount to much but if you re buying it anyway, why not?:)
#6
I hav the 4GB version of this - very solid memory stick, hasnt corrupted any data so far unlike previous sticks I've used.
#7
will this be the same price in-store if I don't "Reserve & Collect"?
#8
Yep, same price....if theres any left!
#9
Reserved 2 in my local store. The 4gb ones.
#10
cold, slow.

BlackAle
cold, slow.

Care to elaborate your two word response and tell the original poster who took the time and trouble to post this as well as anyone that is interested in getting an 8GB USB stick where a faster one could be bought for the same price or cheaper ?

I have the 4gb version of this. Seems really good to me, I mean fast don't really have much of a clue about write speeds or anything, but I am sure this will be adequate for 90% of people, there may be some like "BlackAle" who obviously need higher performing non highstreet brands... Perhaps he shouldn't be posting on a website that promotes hot deals on cheaper items..

anyway.

I like it nice and strong too, just get a little annoyed with the large flashing orange light ( can be a bit distacting when using the stick on a laptop) Does anyone know if you can stop the light ..???

Thanks

Dave

Can someone tell me if the only difference between this and the normal Cruzer is sturdyness? As i'll probably go for the 16GB for £16.99 if that's the only difference?

Add it to basket then click continue then collect and reserve, enter your postcode, it will show 3 nearest stores and select one of them, then enter your details and you will be emailed a reservation code.

Nice price, but imho 8gb is just to small.

Voted hot though, on account of good price and the fact that not all need >8gb

Sorry but I don't see that option at all. Do you need to login your a/c to see it ? Is it shown once you have clicked on the memory stick details page ? tks

If your local Currys don't have stock, it's also available at PC World as posted here

orange is what they are supposed to have, i think i reas on this forum in another thread there used to be blue ones which were older ... perhaps the green is older yet or just a mistake

how about the clause that states that whsmith is higher than currys price and they have no requirement to match voucher reductions? alos the fact that whsmith isn't on their list of matchable retailers?
if they matched then you found yourself and obliging idiot, id not expect them to match that as standard.

well all i did was take my receipt from whsmith to curry's and ask them if they would match it , manager bloke faffed around on the pc and with a leaflet, then said yeah ok cant see no reasons not to, and processed it.
Who am i to argue with him in my favor:w00t:

Anyone experienced quality problem with these 8GB Titanium ones. I bought 4 , 2 of them failed on the first day. The other two were OK (so far). One of them failed to initialise upon insertion. The other one failed immediately during the first day in use (failure was I/O error - the flash stick drive could then be seen as a drive in Windows but the contents could not be displayed). Yes, they do get warm with use, very unusual for these to get warm with use.

not had any problems so far although it does get hot after copying a few gigs of data, also I find the transfer rate pretty slow on my macbook.
