possible that voucher won't be accepted. my local whsmith are quite fussy about these vouchers. usb stick isn't classed as stationery.

I agree they are very fussy but may be worth a try

They should take it as its classed as stationary on their stock system, any transaction with invalid items for the voucher just wont make the deduction when the voucher is scaned so if the cashier refuses to take it just ask them to scan it to try and it should work,

Unless of course, that their system is crap and leaves voucher decisions to the cashier like a lot of supermarkets do.

Well, I have a free day pretty much (haha...student), I'll try Wolverhampton branch in a bit as I need a new flash drive, is this one fast?
#10
Nice work. Heat & rep. Great product, paid 17 quid for mine.
#11
I was looking for one of these - thanks.
#12
Did this myself on Saturday :)
#13
Great find!

Only if you posted this last week, it would've saved me a Fiver! LOL.

£9.99 for a black one from amazon
or £15.99 for a 16gb black one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Cruzer-Micro-Flash-Drive/dp/B001CHWE9U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1240838044&sr=1-1

note the metal ones are noisy on a key ring

Yeah... but don't fall apart either.

Comparing like for like "£x for a black one" is possibly the most stupid comparison I've ever seen on HUKDs.

16gb version on play for 15.99 plus quidco...well worth the extra few quid i reckon...plastic one if thats your cup of tea...

Me too; though this second voucher is only valid 11th May to 24th May.
Time to start hunting for something reasonably cheap in the region of £10-11, to make it super cheap!

Wolverhampton branch (mander centre) had no 8Gb left, they did have 16Gb but I didn't catch the price. Anyone know the price for the 16Gb?
#25
Brilliant drives.

Not as fast as the Contour version - but a fraction of the size - and massively robust.

haha i noticed that, maybe its to suffocate some naughty children on his walk home
#30
Thanks for the voucher heads up. I picked up the 4gb the other day but put it back and regretted it when I got home. Picked the 8gb up tonight and only had to fork out £1.60 after the voucher was deducted as my wife had a purse full of gift cards with little bits left on each of them. First time she has ever been happy to empty her purse for me!

Loads left at Harbourne, Birmingham. Thanks OP!

I phoned 2 stores yesterday, first only had the 4GB, the 2nd eventually found they had 7 8GB so I am going to pick that up. I am also in the market for some 4GB and at £8.74 I can't resist that.

As long as I can get the cashier to scan the voucher I'll be fine it seems, if it comes to it I'll have to Ninja behind the counter and scan it myself without the cashier noticing :)

Big thanks to the genius who spotted this. I would never have guessed that the USB stick was stationary at W H Smiths, although in my opinion it is stationary.
