That's ridiculous.. Samung SSDs are way better than Sandisk. And btw picked up 850 Pro 1TB for £350 including delivery last week.. Best consumer SSD you can get with 10 years warranty. Kicks everything in the butt..

Sandisk also make decent drives and the 850 Pro is not much better than this drive and this also has a 10 year warranty for those that care.
£350 for the 850 Pro is a very good price but unless you have a workstation not worth the massive premium in my eyes; I paid £230 for an 840 EVO 1TB and £200 for an M500 960GB, both new.

Note: The 840 EVO series shipped with a serious bug that massively reduces performance over time. There is a fix for now but it means updating the firmware in a drive in working system which is large inconvenience. It means to be safe I have to back-up the drive again and test the back-up prior to applying the firmware just to be safe. Hence I haven’t updated it yet and I can really notice the performance degradation.
So before anyone says Samsung are the bees knees keep this in mind as their copybook is well and truly shat on in my opinion, at least with the TLC drives.
