  That said, I've not voted, as I've no idea if the price for the unit is good. Hope to see some opinions, as I'm toying with buying something like this...

  How is it not as good as the clip+? It has a colour screen and there is a beta rockbox build for it as far as I can tell. It is more expensive but that doesn't mean it is not as good.

  The color screen is irritating, the firmware does not allow the user to see track time and the rockbox firmware is unstable. Looks like rockbox cannot be bothered to finish of the firmware because (and I'm guessing here) that they know it's a dud. I had one, gave it to my nephew.

  I beg to differ. First, album cover support is great to have. Second, in my experience rockbox has been rock solid (and adds track time if one is so inclined). For nostalgics, there is even a skin which looks like the Clip+ with a two colour display ;-)

  The poor resolution of the screen does not enhance the music experience. At all.
  
  The clip + is the daddy, the zip is the moody son.
  
  Saying that though it's a Sandisc and therefore better than most. Not better than the + though.

  Thanks guys. I've gone for the clip+ for £20. If it's debatable which one's better but one costs twice as much as the other it makes the decision easier for me... ;)

  Currently have loads of FLAC songs on mine, absolutely cracking quality.
