cheap enough I guess :)

this works with the xbox 360 4gb?
#3
Not sure how good this is for price, but not recommended for Xbox. I have the 8GB which I used to back up saves etc. before transferring my hard drives. When it's being prepped for Xbox its speed is checked and it comes up with a warning that it does not meet requirements and will effect performance. Write speed is very slow compared to other pen drives I have, which puts you off transferring any large files onto it, which makes the 16GB a bit redundant. I'd see if there's better offers on quicker drives.

Any recommendations for a flash drive for an xbox 360?
#5
I've heard that these are dead slow - is this true?
#6
#7
Yeah they are pretty slow, I have one and they are great for being small but take ages to fill up!
#8
Agreed - buy the Bytestor one... much quicker. Will be worth it in the long run.

This stick is style over substance and you'll be chewing your knuckles over the transfer rate.

will this cheap flash drive be up to the job of playing music from the usb in my car?

Can you use this with the xbox 360?

Yes! I use this with my Sony car unit and it's excellent. It's small form factor is ideal if your head unit is near the gear stick.

I don't normally use a flash drive with Xbox, so I don't know, but even a cheap Tesco pen drive I picked up a couple of years ago wipes the floor with this in terms of speed.

Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Slowes usb drive i have.
Ok if you want to make a cup of tea while you're transfering data!
Otherwise, I would avoid.
#18
In spite of the warning it does still work with the xbox 360 though. Which is more than I can say for my superfast 16GB PNY City series usb memory stick! It's one of the fastest drives, and the xbox still turns it's nose up at it!

great price same one i paid about £4 more form paly.com about 4 months ago was hot now even hotter:p

Yes, they are very slow.
#21
Good price. By the by all the people commenting that its slow, did you try it with FAT32 formatting? NTFS on some flash drives can really slow them down.
#22
Got one of these and I think its great. Have it plugged into the USB port in my car.

Yeah it takes ages to transfer files onto it, but I cant find a faster USB drive this small with no annoying flashing light.

I have this exact model for my car, it was the only reason i bought it, its 3/4 full of music and takes over 10 mins for my Sony stereo to read it! I wouldnt recommend this for a car.

Sounds odd but does this work with the ps3!?

I bought a 4gb USB and formatted it and wouldn't work on ps3 yet fine on 360/laptop!
Had a look around online and seems it's the same for everyone who bought one :(

If someone can confirm this works when copying music/films to ps3 then I'm tempted!

Cheers

That a pity. I use it with my Sony MEX BT3600u and it reads it no problem and without delay.
