That may be so, but it does come in well under the £1 per Gig. Some of us don't need speed just some space.

decent enough

when i transfer a bulky file onto mine i tend not to sit and watch the progress bar, so the slightly slower transfer rate doesn't get me annoyed or vexed at all......
#4
Certainly not the quickest, but I've had no problems with an 8Gb version. Good value.

Fair point, but transfer anything more than 10 mp3s regularly enough and i can guarantee it'll get on your nerves after a while.

In fact, i just gave my 8gb away. It just wasn't up to scratch for anything larger than some spreadsheets.

ya beat me to it to post it - well done
And i have one of these and they are reliable sticks and well worth the price tag :o)

Lightning fast compared to the old USB 1 days.

Used to take me over 3 hours to transfer 7GB.

just bought one of these from play for £13.97!

DAMN PLAY!!

Heat added anyway!

I bought two of them, DON'T PUT IT IN YOUR KEY RING it will snap,

These always come on hotdeals and the whole "its soooo slow" debate begins. I've got the 8gb version of this and its v useful for having on your keys as its such a small device.

If you're in that much of a rush to transfer data, organise your time more effectively :D

Sorry, I don't get it.. does this drive support USB 2.0?? , then it can't be that slow.

Cold...this isnt a deal.

Its been £12.99 on amazon for ages, so not really a deal.

Got one (16Gb) myself. Don't find the speed to be a problem. Write speed is slow (around 3Mb/s) but read speed is outstanding: 27Mb/s for medium-to-large files.

The only thing I'm not keen on is that it is entirely plastic (including the bit you stick in the USB slot (which is metal on every other USB drive I have ever seen) for this reason I find I don't use it much, as I am scared it will break if handled even a little roughly.

Good for a car head unit due to the small size.

Agree with chai157, pay a little extra for a lot more in return :-)
(although his maths is poor ;-) , it's only 46p more with the FREE delivery option!)

Thanks to OP, wicked little bit of kit, going to partition the HELL outta this bad boy, throw a few OS's on there, have it as my personal tool kit ;) x

Got one today
Very light and it's all plastic. Have it on my keyring but might
Just end up using it in my car headunit

also, to the people saying it's too slow you need to realise that removable media is an inefficient and expensive way to move file quickly, cheaply. Anyone using one of these to wh0re around very large files needs to get up to date... I can install 7 from a VERY similarly spec'd device within 45 minutes, from bios to finished desktop, that's VERY acceptable if you ask me.

Then why are similar usb sticks a LOT faster, then ? OLDER sticks are a lot faster ?

Got one for just over a tenner before Xmas.
Its absolutely tiny.
Its the slowest Ive got by a large margin
Playbacks fine, but God almighty is it slow to load stuff on.....

Your logic is flawed!
What is hard to understand about their being FAR better products that are 2,3,4..etc times faster for a tiny if ANY increase in cost ????? Do some research and save yourself a heap of time in the long run!!

''I can install 7 from a VERY similarly spec'd device within 45 minutes, from bios to finished desktop, that's VERY acceptable if you ask me.''

Errr no it's not... you could do it that quickly if not faster with a burnt DVD!!
However had you spent 46p more and got a decent 30MB/s flash pen then it would probably take less than 20 odd minutes, thats a vast improvement and benefit from using a standard and cheap (20p) burnt DVD!

would take a lot to snap it tbh, its not flimsy plastic by any standards.

Got one of these and they are decent, hard to believe what they hold data wise
#26
Amazon had these for £10.99 in December
This is still a good price though.
#27
AVOID.I have one of these, very very slow and annoying.
#28
I got the 8gb one its painfuly slow even slower than a 2gb one i have had about 5 years i would avoid oO

These are very nice and stylish looking. I have one attached to my keys which I've carried along constantly for over a year now. It's not attached directly to the keys but way of a small thread as the plastic eye probably would have long broke by now. It is very lightweight. The plastic surrounding the end of the stick which connects to the USB port has began to break and fall apart in some places but that is only cosmetic. I'm sure it will easily last another year. Speeds could be better but otherwise pleased with it.

My summary:
Looks: 9/10
Size: 8/10
Weight: 10/10
Speed: 6/10

It's definitely NOT 'slightly slower'.

But an UGLY design. I'd rather have the HP metal one that was posted about a week ago.
