"Cheap And Nasty
Ordered this as it looked good and it seemed good value. Nothing like it showed on file. Very tiny, made of plastic and altogether rubbish. There are better ones for the same value. I wanted to use this in the car but clouldnt trust it not breaking so I downloaded my photos and put it in a safe place.Try other makes which are more robust.. Sorry"

"Hi-speed is a bit misleading
Nice design, but I'm a little annoyed as it says hi-speed transfer in the description. It only writes at 4.5 megabytes per second I was expecting 10 mbps, which is the speed that the cruzer micro writes."

" Very plastic-y
Good device, very small, but it does feel quite flimsy. The page doesn't make clear that it is made of plastic. My old Sandisk 1Gb cruzer micro (entirely metal body) went through the washing machine, I'm not sure that this would cope

"Slim and compact but seems flimsy
Good price and unbelievably light as even the USB plug section is made out of plastic. Its slim width is good if you are having to plug it in alongside other USB devices. However the plastic seems brittle and it looks like it dropped out of a cheap set of Christmas crackers. I have only used it once so time will tell if it is more robust in use than first appearances suggest."

Half the reviewers don't like it! Hope it's not the same for the 16GB as I recommended that to some friends! oO

Don't get me wrong, it's a great price. I'm just a little concerned that it might be a piece of carp (word censor won't let me put in that other word).

Still I guess it's not going to break the bank if it is a dud, just lessons learn't.

Beware, as the keyring hole is so flimsy, it is likely to snap. I nearly lost one

This is what I'm saying, I've recommended it to friends, but after reading the poor reviews for this 8GB drive I now wonder if I should have advised them to spend a little more. Going to let them know so if they want to send it back they can.

It's a great price, but the reviews just don't stack up. For that reason, I won't be investing today and would like to declare myself out.

But stiil this same speed, this same product just different Capacity. Why you copy ONLY negative reviews to my post you should copy and past nagative reviews of 16gb to your post, and put that Piece of Crap in the Title instead Great Deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sandisk-cruzer-blade-16gb-usb-flash/795309

The reviews didn't look too bad for the 16Gb that I posted, so had no reason to put "piece of crap" or the like (and have no reason now as the deal has expired).

Did you try to find other reviews of 16gb? For example Amazon, they dont look good, so you should copy and paste these ones... and don't recommend to your friends http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Cruzer-Blade-16GB-Memory/dp/B00422DCB6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1289817155&sr=8-2

my mate at work has one of these. i'm not impressed with it at all.

he lent it to me last week, and as he took it off his keyring, the plastic loop that attaches it to the ring snapped. as i took it out of my laptop to give it back to him, the stick split into 3 pieces. was tragic (although i **** myself at the look on his face!).

i won't be wasting my money on this product, but thanks.

It is clever marketing and sneaky wording, it says "Interface Type: Hi-Speed USB" which is technically correct, but never claims it can meet those speeds.

Another way to put it: "My car can take jet fuel, but never claims that it will act like a jet"

Bought the 16gb version on offer a few days ago for 12.99, cracking price but don't bother. if you are going to keep it all wrapped up and gentle then fine. Mine is on my keyring and is already battered in 2 days! Can't see it lasting very long at all.

Cheap plastic......... cheap plastic ............. cheap plastic

Wish I had paid more for a more robust one.

Ideal for backing up files then leaving it in a drawer safe. Got 3 of the 16gb ones today. If you dont like it, you don't have to by it.

Firstly heat added for the excellent deal

now another question but don't want to start a war because i have had rubbish and good pen drives in the past

In you guys opinion what is a good pen drive (not the cheapest but a good one)
I have had about 6ish and some have been better used as paper weights
I have had 2 Kingston data traveller ones but only one of them were very good (dont ask me why)

I have a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Titanium, the speeds are pretty good but the build is rock solid, It feels heavy and like it would take anything, its been run over by my computer chair with all 17 stone of me in, its been through a full wash and survived, they are just so damn expensive just looked online and they are £30 I only paid about £20 last Christmas online.
#34
Goes through at £8.99 now
Should never have lost my payment details
#35
just seen my mates one... slower than a slow train from slowsville the transfer rate on these and i thought my 16gb sandisk Cruzer was slow :(
if you do a lot of big file transfers you're fecked my play.com branded one was far faster and i mean about half the time to write onto the drive
