I have had the 1GB version for about 2 years and it's the smartest USB pen drive I've used; very well made and functions well. At under £5, this is a great deal which I heartily recommend. Heat and Rep added ;)

around a £1 a GIG is hot in my book
#4
thanks - voted hot :)

Wish I had waited a few weeks. I got a 2gig for £3. I would have paid an extra £1.69 to get another 2gig.

You don't need any fancy-schmancy U3. Just head off to www.portableapps.com. Works with any usb stick and is free. There are some other similar sites.

lol... thankfully no.

The only thing they would have found on my flash drive is copies of various antivirus program installers. Not exactly top secret :-D

I have my suspicions about who it was too...no replies to their helpdesk emails from now on!

This USB drive is rather slow and I'd find it frustrating, so I'd recommend going for something better/faster, such as this very fast 16gb USB drive for just £17.99 from the same website:

Thanks for the heads up :). Do you own both the drives then? Edit: Scratch that, just seen your comment in the other thread: "Looks great to me, considering getting it. Hot!"

If you have a 4.5Gb ISO file (or can download one, e.g. a Linux distro with that size approx), you can compare these drives performances directly with the ones benchmarked here.

Just ordered two don't trust to have so much data on a bigger stick as they do fail from time to time

They have increased the price to £5.99. Still good price.
