Thanks, best price I've seen for a good, branded 16Gb USB flash drive :)

Still waiting for the 'faster' 16Gb drives to drop in price before buying.

just buy one at this priiiiiiiice ! :)

anyone know if these have readyboost or is it only the 8gb one that does?
#5
Hot, hot, hot :santa:

Cheers
#6
It probably isnt readyboost enabled. People have said its bit slow.
#7
yess, it is slow, only feels first time when you are going to fill it up. otherwise usual access and storage its not noticeable. Other thing is it's software, which is absolutely worth the money.
#8
Wow, nice price :)

Hot!!
#9
A good drive - but the blue light gets on my thrupnies.
#10
readyboost only does a max of 4gb anyway :)....

Get a 4gb one and put it on one the back usb ports and forget about it !
#11
wat is readyboost?
#12
Great price but aren't these supposed to be quite slow? When you start get 16GB ones you need it to be reasonably quick.
#13
I bought this when it was £16.99 on Amazon & Im so impressed. I love it. I couldnt care about the speed but the software to install portable software is absolutely awesome. I cannot recommend this highly enough!
#14
Brought this for £16.99 yesterday already packing the order so cant cancel, ******!

these are now cheap enough to stick movies on, dvd format is dead!, who wants to have storage that gets scratched and damaged when these do the job a lot better.

no offense

but the improvement of performance is for RAMz less than 2 GB mostly, and these days all new computers have minimum of 3GB min. or atleast 2GB

I agree - not likely to see much of a performance increase on a machine with more then 2gb of ram.

Are these fast enough for playing films off of without slow down and that sort of thing?

Should be fine for that but may just be noticeably slower then other faster pen drives when copying large amounts of data to and from it.
#28
I already have one, love the orange led that comes on, dead bright..........

Brilliant price for what could be the only portable storage device you'll ever need.

I had one for about 18 months, then it died so "ever need" might be a bit optimistic

Don't worry it'll be under a tenner in a few weeks and then we'll all have our eyes on 32GB ones.

If only.

4-5 weeks on, it's not only increased in price, but has gotten more heat than this in 7 hours :w00t:
