Hi
Thanks for posting. I have added an image to your post.
This is a link, made by rayman, which explains how to add images in great detail. It’s worth taking a look at if you are going to post more deals in future : - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/339941/how-to-post-and-host-images-for-thr/
It is good practice to also add the merchant and price to the title as well as a direct link to the product (which I have now done). It helps people who are just browsing through. And in my experience your post will get a few more “hot” votes.
Emmajk42 wrote a couple of very comprehensive and excellent guide for newcomers to HUKD here: - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/145906/newcomers-advice-on-hotukdeals-gene/

They are well worth taking a look at.
Kind regards

Good price, may get one as a spare for my other flash drive

I prefer the following SanDisk flash drive even though it is double the price it is solid and well made and has a loop on the end if you need to carry on your keys

the sandisk cruzers tend to be quite slow - good prices though if you just want the space.

What can you recommend for speed and space?

I have a dane-elec 16gb one - it was a nightmare trying to find out accual speed info on them as the manufacturer speeds seem to be fairly innacurate - I went on someones reccomendation on here when I was looking at the 16gb cruzers. I couldn't say for sure how good the one I have is but I got some freeware speed test software and it beat the hell out of my 2 kingston drives (4gb & 8gb) for read and write speed.

I think at 4gb it's not going to matter too much - they all seem quick enough to run video or music from which is probably the most speed intensive thing anyone is going to want from them but once you go for 16 gig and upwards I wanted a quicker one as I copy to and from it a lot.

depends what you want it for I guess - just wanted people to know why they are cheap - you seem to get what you pay for speed wise to a certain extent.

The Sandisk Cruzer Contour is a fair bit faster than the Cruzer Micro.

My 8 gig Contour reads at 30 meg/s and writes at 20 meg/s.

Same thing happened with my 4GB Sandisk Cruzer. The plastic loop isn't very durable and splits easily.

A lot of companies are no longer referring to loops as a keychain fastening because people used to plug them into PCs and leave them hanging with heavy keys attached, causing undue stress on the USB connector and ultimately failure. These Cruzer Micro U3s do still have a small hole on the corner next to the capacity (far right in the image) which can be used to attach a lanyard (or keyring, but getting them on the keyring would probably be difficult without an extra O ring). I keep mine on a neck chain so its always handy. I've had my 4GB one for 3 years now with no problems.

Thanks!

This is perfect, 4GB is plenty and with readyboost enabled it'll help my aging laptop - great price.

H&R added.
