I know there've been a few postings about this product already but I couldn't find any this cheap. This product is available in PC World for £39.99 but play.com have them at £14.99 and using the 110% price match guarantee, I just managed to get PC World in Warrington to part with one for just £12.49.

I took a print of the item on play.com (http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3435681/Sandisk-Cruzer-Micro-U3-USB-Flash-Drive-8GB/Product.html). I chose play.com because they include delivery and have them in stock, both of which are important for the price match. I'm aware Amazon are a bit cheaper, but the Amazon price doesn't include delivery.

Take a print-out of the page from play.com (see link in the original post). Then go find the product, take it to the cashier and say you want to price-match with play.com. If you want to take a print of the price-match guarantee from PC World's website to "remind them", that's at http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/price-match-promise but you shouldn't need it.

This should work in any PC World store - it's just that I happen to try it in Warrington first.

we were told they dont match internet only deals x

Hey guys...just for your information, Amazon UK have this at £13.99 (as posted here by edi)...

...and PC World also pricematch them.

See the thread here and post #27 by gary_rip - he got it for £11.39 by pricematching Amazon!!!

**although I guess PC World could argue at £13.99 you won't get it delivered FREE due to the £15 free order limit (unless argue you are an Amazon Prime member) - so with Play.com pricematch it might be less hassle for the sake of saving an extra £1.10...but if you're feeling lucky/up to the challenge then its worth a try!!!**

See the link just above for the PC World guarantee. That specifically says they match with play.com. Don't take no for an answer - and take a copy of the guarantee from the web site with you to prove it!

play.com have them at £14.99

The link you gave list it at £ 15.99, which with the 100% price match gave £ 13.59 now.

Still hot, as you collect it immediately!

Looks like so.
Do you have a print screen of the previous price? I plan to go to PC World later on.

Tip: if you have Office on your PC, you certainly have a printer called 'Microsoft Office Document image Writer',which create a .mdi file containing what you wanted to print. Very very useful to keep a electronic proof.
I used to use PDF Creator, but for some reasons it crashes on my system, then i realized I have this one working (although, i do prefer PDF files to MDI files...)

Nice one - always good to see DSG being forced to sell something at a reasonable price, less a bit! Some compensation for all the ignorants suckered into £15 USB cables, and £50 HDMI cables.

I recommend PrimoPDF - freeware and rather sophisticated PDF creation.

use the pricematches all the time - works a treat - make sure you get the 10% part too though as they sometimes forget

usually use it on games - often half in-store price !

best one was - but didn't get chance to go - 69.99 for CF Extreme card at PCworld, 17.99 at play.com - after pricematch would have been 12.49 :)
#13
I use the pricematch all the time for 2GB XD Cards. instore, £9.99 on Play.

Price match means £5.99 in store.

Good deal this, but someone's expired it...?
#14
well i just got it for £11.40 from pc world as they price matched amazons £13.99 and 10% of the difference

ps no argueing or taking proof in the newport store just took it to the counter and he looked it up on his till and did it there and then

£9.84 (or even £8.24 if you hit lucky) with a Price match from PC World and Amazon if the right merchant has stock.

Slightly surprised that this worked as my PCWorld (Corstorphine, Edinburgh) has always insisted that Amazon merchants are excluded.

It suprised me as well ,but I was selective with the print-out from Amazon I took with me and they didnt double check on-line. Also it was 7:45 at night just before they closed which may have helped!
