hard to say, but i don't think it will be likely. Its already at half the cost, and the normal ones isn't much cheaper. Will not make sense to drop to price to match the plastic ones.

Good price on this deal too. But i wanted a little bit more memory :) Voted hot still

still as easily lost as a normal usb drive

These things are quality, mine's been on my keyring for a few years now and it's survived where house keys have been bent and other USB key plastic housings have cracked.

I'd love one but trucks just never seem to drive over my electronics. Would it be tempting fate to keep one in my pocket when crossing the road?

Hot though!
#27
Giving hot just for the description :)
#28
I had one of these!

It broke though. :(

I'll never need another after getting my 8gb from WHsmiths for a tenner some months ago. Great bit of kit.

What a great deal if you need to run over your memory in a car or truck.

I've never needed to that and haven't had any of my plastic ones break. Dropped a fair few many times too. For me its the speed of the device that's the main concern and that seems to be all but ignored.

*wanders off mumbling about read and write speed*

Not quite sure how you can get a truck to run over your USB drive.

Just for info, my plastic sandisk has been thru it all as well. Scratched by keys, went thru a full wash in the washing machine, been stepped on, fallen from standing height, and hey, it still works. After more than 4 years.

Okay, I have not run over it with a truck yet, but ppl don't usually lend you trucks to do that.

I used to mock people silently who put their thumb drives through the wash like that, until I did the same. I was horrified and after drying it out and finding out it still worked, well I've mended my silent mocking ways.
