No, this is the newest model SanDisk make. The SanDisk Ultra SSD is the older, cheaper, SATA II model.

Samsung 830 range - costs £125 for 256gb last time i checked
If you don't already own one and wish to massively improve the performance of your PC, this is a no brainer. This isn't some compromised drive with which you pay less and get less (like the Kingston drive which got a lot of heat a few weeks ago), this is a properly fast SSD which doesn't overheat and seems to be extremely reliable.
I recommend you get the SanDisk SSD Toolkit for updating the firmware (the latest is R201) and checking on the drive's health (not that you'll need to, in my experience).

I think you can somehow get £20 cashback from Samsung to reduce the £145 price to £125. I'm not sure whether the Samsung 830 is actually any better (real world or benchmarks) than the SanDisk Extreme, to be honest.
