Excellent deal, got mine after having to wait for management approval of reduction.:thumbsup:

Generally use Extreme IV but good for a spare card, I worry that Play say RRP £29.99 while PC World are asking £69.99 !!! :whistling::whistling:

"PC World currently have this listed and in stock at £69.99"

This is ridiculous. I bet they still sell a fair few with cameras to unsuspecting/ignorant customers.

I wonder if they make more profit selling a small number of them priced sky high or if they'd sell enough to make more at a lower price.

FFS. You get the product for cheaper than anywhere else. What's the deal? Voted hot

I assume in order to get the price match deal you have to do this instore?
#7
None in stock near me. Always the same! :x

For the purists out there - note that this deal relates to the original 20Mb/s version, and not the newer 30Mb/s version of the same product.

I've just ordered one online for store pickup. I have no idea if it'll work out but technically I get quidco @ 5% on 69.99? That would bring it down to about 9 quid..... still £12 will do me :-)

Thanks for that.

I currently use the old 20mb/s and they are still quick enough for me...
#11
no idea why people vote hot before they can actually get this, PC world never respect their promise.
#12
erm I have already ordered one and have a reference number too ...
#13
Got mine with ref. number too:thumbsup:
Only 5 left for online orders...
20mb/s is plenty fast enough for my cameras (Canon 5D and 40D)

Due to high demand this item is no longer available . . . .

Thats what I have just been told on the phone to PC world

So annoying, it was still available before I was on hold for 10 minutes.

These are the older 20meg cards and when I hear PC World I always know that it'll end in tears.

- just checked and no stock within 20 miles of my house.

Another stone cold deal from PC World.....

got mine

None in stock within 30miles of the capital of Scotland. Rubbish. Well done for those that got them though - excellent deal for the price.
#18
Got mine from DVD.co.uk for £17.99 + £1.99 PP.

It is the 30 M/S Extreme iii

It's a DSG strategy. They don't price them up at £60 to sell to unsuspecting customers. They actually put it up at £60 so that they can say you save £40 for example on the card when you buy a camera from them. Actually, you are just getting it at an average price.

Read it, fool.

It's a way of getting one over on PC World. This price matching is hilarious!

Just to let people know, the Play.com Sandisk Extreme III CF 4GB I received on tuesday wasn't the old 20MB but rather the new 30MB one. I paid £17 after my student discount.

YOU'RE the fool, 306maxi is spot on. PC W*nkers . Why? Because they are overpriced to start with and oh, guess what? None in stock. In the principle of deals I would have voted hot as it's not the OP's fault, but it's PC world and not one of their 'loss leader' wonders.

Had my biggest laugh today when someone listed the '3 USB leads for a pound' offer from Homebargains, when PC world sell them (last time I looked) for about £15 each. Maybe I'll sell PC World some!

thanks Paulace for backing me up, "Scissorhands", all pc world deals are ice cold. they promise 110% first but when the potential customers turn up, they lie and refuse to match their promise, 50% cases at least.
#25
I'm confused. I agree with scissorhands. Paulace agrees with me but disagrees with Scissorhands. How does that work?
I voted hot because it's a good price and as with everything if you stick by your guns and hold your ground you'll get it at the promised price.

I got 2 (one for a friend) from Tottenham Court Rd (London) - they had plenty left, but they've got a dreadful cast of characters working there. First, one of the fellas told me that PC World don't do price match with Play.com ....... then someone else asked if I had printed off the play.com price as proof - said I hadn't as I thought that they would verify the price for themselves........after much back and forth, the girl on cash entered the price match screen on her computer, asked what Play's cost was, and what the matched/beaten price should be - I was honest (lol) and said £12.79 - and that's what she charged me.
I really expected them to go online and/or call to confirm the competitor's price was legit? I'm a bit shocked....

heat added - just hope it works in my Samsung camera

-why is this EXPIRED? It may not be available on the website, but as long as Play.com keeps their price down and there's stock in store?
#27
I received mine this morning from PC World - and i managed to blag two by phoning twice... I paid £12.79 each and they are both 30MB/s not the slower 20MB/s.
Bargain..
