Sandisk Extreme IV 8GB CF Card £32 - http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/35896/show.html

5% discount voucher - Jessops5

Collect from store only, and not a great deal of stock, but I managed to find some locally. Could not find a cheaper price anywhere.

Currently Jessops are offering 8% cashback (on the ex VAT price) via quidco too (use discount voucher QUIDCOFIVE rather than JESSOPS5), so you could get the 4GB for £17.68 and the 8GB for £28.29.

Merry Xmas :-)

Yes, but strangely the 8GB Extreme III's (at £22) are cheaper than the 4GB (which are £35) !!!!

Scumbags...

Just phoned me and cancelled my order (8gb Extreme III for £20.90... using jessops5 code)

They say the system is showing an error!! and they do not have any actual stock :whistling:

They offered me the Extreme IV for an extra £48... :w00t:

No wonder they are going down the pan... T*****s

I use Extreme III cards in my Nikon D300 and they're fine. Extreme IV is nice, but more than most people need. £22 for an 8GB Extreme III is blazing hot! I'll be stocking up! :)

Incidently, I tend to use camerapricebuster.co.uk to check prices as they tend to be pretty well on the ball when it comes to pricing information.

I have ordered the 8gb Extreme III for £20.90 using quidco code. I'm having it picked up at 12-30 or so. Hope these plonkers don't phone and cancel - they did once before. Cracker spot by OP, heat added anyway.

I'm fairly sure than there are little or no SLR cameras that can write files at 40mb/s. I suppose downloading them to your PC would be faster but it might not be worth the extra expense. Check your camera write speeds because a 30mb/s could be more than ample seeing as cameras write at about 12mb/s.

Probably no 4gbhc's for £5 left at Morrisons............;-)

I picked mine up earlier - one of the 8GB cards was the latest 45MB/s version, the others (a 4GB and an 8GB) were the previous 40MB/s version.

High end SLR's certainly benefit from the faster cards. There is a marked improvement in frame rate (when shooting raw) on both my Nikons (D700 and D300s) when using cards of this speed.
