Different products blanco. Sarah's is the gaming edition. Which should be faster than your one. And given the same price, I think Sarah's is a better deal :)

Are you absolutely sure about that? I remember reading a comparison report online where the gaming ones were tested to be faster.

Looking to buy one for myself (for my new T-30 Comet bargain), but if they ARE the same there's a better deal on the standard Sandisk duo pro's. For the same price - £17.99 - some sites are bundling in a Sandisk mini memory stick reader with the card.

(I'll look for some links later - at work at the mo')

I am also looking to get a stick for the DSC-T30 ....... I'd go for this one just cos it is neon blue!!

i bag myself sony t30 camera, same looking a memory card for digital camera, I had to used my 1gb gaming sandisk in my sony t30 camera, my mum went on hoilday with it. I am looking to purchase another one for my psp or digital camera. a steal price, as i did some research just for 1gb you pay the same price, 2gb like £30.

Cheers guys, bought a 4GB Sony card from Ebay at the weekend...boy, this is a good fake, although I only realised it from reading this thread. I followed links to guides that show how to spot one and the one I got would pass all of them...except the Magicgate bit.

Chasing up compo or a refund now and I will order one of these instead.
S'funny, I was playing a game from the card and playback was very choppy and slow. That's the only reason I got suspicious...:x

Cheers again.

Comparing this against the other 2gb deal, i'd spend the extra £0.30 on this. Probably for the blue casing, or maybe the fact that it has the word "gaming" in the title, so it must be calibrated for max performance. Who knows, but for 30p you can't go wrong XD.
#26
Are you guys thinking about this properly? Why would the gaming version be faster than a normal memory card? A PSP memory card is only accessed during times when you are not actually playing the game. In other words to load up data for a game or to load a saved game. There's no need for it to be faster.

It will basically just be the same except that it's neon blue.

I got my 2gb card from here. £16.90 plus about a pound for delivery. Was delivered in two days. Plus 2% with quidco.

If someone could just find out (once and for all) whether this is either:

i) The exact same as the regular ones (with the exception of the neon casing)
ii) Different, but will work just as well
iii) Not the same and which devices it will work / not work with ...

... then we could all go and buy it / or not.

They have same read speeds and are identical apart from case. When I get home from work I'll post links to stores with speeds listed (if someone hasn't already).

I've noticed not many stores list the speeds of older cards anymore, probably to push people towards the faster more expensive cards, who knows.

The only thing which people generally liked about these cards about their appearance, was the fact that you could see the chip inside, through the transparent case.

Fake cards use cheaper generic chips, you would be able to see the markings of the lower quality chip through the case. I think this is how history went, not certain though.

i think this is a matter of personal preference. It says this statement on the site that carleast mentioned, if that makes a difference to your decision in getting one or not.

For maximum performance and to get the most out of all the advanced features on the device, you'll need a SanDisk Gaming Pro Duo Card.

Did anyone get one of these for their Sony T30, did it work okay?

Thanks.
