The Micro SD is the smallest flash memory technology card in the world. About one-fourth the size of a standard SD card, the micro SD card provides high performance and expanded memory capacity for mobile phones.

I can't see why this is so cold? It seems a pretty good price to me - the nearest I found was 17.99 + delivery. Voted hot
Note: Despite Play's title this is a Micro SDHC card not Micro SD.
#2
Check you device before buying as many mobile's etc don't support SDHC

Neither Play nor Mymemory (17.99+p&p) seems to include the mobilmate reader as other more expensive places do.
#4
Dixons price matched Play.com on a 4GB CF card. £31 at Play - £99 at Dixons.

Never thought I'd say it but - well done Dixons :)

I got this exact card from PLAY a week or so ago for this price.

It came with a reader that looks like this:

Don't know if that's what your after, but it's very nice.

Yeah it comes with a MicroSD to SDHC adaptor, and a SDHC USB dongle card-reader.

Here's exactly what I got from play:

I was thinking of getting this for the same reason but gonna wait for the TTDS first, got an unused 1gb SD at the mo.
#9
is the 4gb SD compatiable with the the TTDs sometimes if there too big they dont work..

well thats what iv heard :)

(first post :D ) lol
#10
According to the specs, the TTDS will accept both SD and SDHC cards, so this one should work no probs, especially as it's a SanDisk.
#11
Gutted. I just orderd a 2gb from play for a tenner
#12
Will this work with my DS SuperCard does anyone know?
#13
Works with Cyclo DS and M3 Real...
#14
great for my n95
#15
I think the SDHC should have been included on the title you got to have an enable SDHC slot to use to.

Hot, but wouldn't recommend for DS-rom cos its kinda slow speed.
#16
Works fine in M3Real.
#17
Even phones like xda orbit which ordinarily takes micro SD card can be made to accept microSDHC card by installing a driver.
#18
Does anyone know if this is compatible with the R4DS please?

Is this from personal experience? The R4 website claims that it will work with the card formatted to FAT32.
I find the regular Sandisk to be fast enough, never had slow down with the R4.
#21
Will this be ok for my r4 for my ds?

Nope ! The 4GB Sandisk card is SDHC (High Capacity).

The R4 is NOT SDHC Card compatible. It only takes smaller size capacity cards.

now £16.99 at play.com and 6Gb is now £29.99

Are you sure?
On the R4 website (see http://www.r4ds.com/product-en.htm) it states in their FAQ:

"Q: How many files can I have on the R4?
A: R4 Adapter supports 128MB~4GB TF(MicroSD) card , 4GB=32Gbit "

I'm no techno girl but i'm willing to take a punt to see if it does work!

Am buying tonight and will let you know if it's ok.

The R4 does NOT support SDHC cards.

And this card says: "For use with any SDHC compliant device making it easier to transfer files"

BTW - the price has come down to £16.99 now. (Damn - as I ordered 2 of them last week!!!)

OK....................................
I'm so fed up by the conflicting info (been onto so many forums am ready to tear my hair out)regarding 4gb micro & compatability with the R4 DS, i was just going to buy it and see for myself.

Could you tell me why the R4 faq's say it will support a 4gb? And what I should buy instead?
I really wanted a card with the biggest memory that the R4 could take.

A Micro SD card is different to a Micro SDHC card. A micro SDHC card is not readable in a normal SD reader (which the R4 will be - and any card reader you buy - unless it states it supports SDHC.) The may be the same size - but they are different.

2GB is the max the R4 will take - unless you manage to find a micro sd (not sdhc) one. I have seen cards that leave out the SDHC - but to be honest, I wasnt prepared to take a gamble - particulalry when people making reports were moaning they didnt work. (Which suggested to me they were indeed SDHC)

Hope that makes sense!

Ok darl, that kinda makes sense to me *exhales deeply*
Think I will take your advice and just stick to getting a 2GB, at least it's a little bit cheaper, right?!
Was getting tied up in knots for a while there (ooohh, kinky I know!).
Cheers again, have some rep, it's on me!
Nat x ;-)
