In Asda again today and on the audio/video counter they had the Sandisk Sansa 4gb mp3 player reduced from 59.00 to 25.00 , red sticker so im assuming its like the Energizer usb chargers and end of stock.
There are millions of different mp3 players out there and ive been looking around for a few weeks trying to find one so thought id give this a try , ordered 2 of the imported ebay ones for the kids which are 16gb and cost less but i seriously doubt they are of this quality.
Screen is nice and sharp , plug and play just shows as an external device in Win 7 so no hassle with drivers , its a little bigger than the screen on my n95 , buttons are the jog and shuttle type and as a bonus has a micro sd slot on the side for extra storage , menu is soo simple even i can understand it :D.

If theres any in yor local stores grab one , very impressed with this so far.

excellent player, great spot - a bargain at that price. Hope its nationwide would love to pick up a spare!
Been using mine for months and they are fantastic audio quality and great for audiobooks too. Fully upgradeable memory as it fully integrates the microsd.

Store specific I know but still, if people didn't have their ipod-blinkers on this would be hottest deal of the week. This player is flawless. None of your fancy-pants gimmicks here, for the simple job of getting high-quality audio into your earholes on a budget and with the least amount of fuss, best player on the market.

And that's even before mentioning the seamless MicroSD integration that effectively gives this infinite storage, a killer feature every other manufacturer seeks to deny us in order to overcharge for larger capacity.

And like pistolpete says, it plays FLAC. You'd otherwise have to fork out for a Cowon for that.

I was looking at the Ipod but the itunes stuff put me off , eldest daughter wants one for her birthday so ill be looking for deals around august if she doesnt like the cheap chinese clone thats on its way (which she wont ,,, girls !!)

I hope other stores have them at this price because its a steal , if i see anymore i will grab them and post in this thread, IF i can find some and if anyone wants one they can have them for the cost + postage (receipts for postage and the item will be supplied ) im away over the weekend but ill check on monday after work.

Re-format it. And while you're about it, download the latest firmware.

If anyone gets a spare one I'd like one. I jus checked in the Oadby store in Leicester and there weren't any there.

i phoned my local earlier only 2gb in stock same price, but if micro sd cards can be used i guess the extra 2gb internal is not all that important if its a nice little player, seeing as you can buy a 2gb card for a few quid

My wife got Sandisk SANSA Clip 2 GB for £2.00 from jumble sale. It was working fine until I formatted, now it says refreshing data and when connected to PC it says writing data.

Please can any 1 help me to solve this problem?

Thanks.

I have to ask...What the hell is FLAC and Cowon? I know i could probably Google it but I have never heard of this term, lol.
