Price drop from £40.41 last week and now a super bargain £38.33 for this stunning little MP3 player. Go read the reviews, this gives some of the best audio quality out there and with the ability to expand the memory with MicroSD cards this is one cracking player.

Also works with Rockbox for those who like more control and to tinker :)

Edit to add: price has just gone 5p to £38.33

Hmm, paid £40.41 for the just a few days ago... only a couple of £s but do Amazon still do that price drop refund thing? I wonder...
Great deal btw.

Darn it. I posted it up at the previous price and it wasn't this cheap this morning. Ah well what's £1.98? :-(
#3
To be fair I've been keeping an eye on this as I had it in my basket last week at £39.99 then it went up, when it came down to £40.41 I was just keeping a look out for it to drop back to £39.99, logged on tonight and it had dropped even more, which is nice!!

does rockbox now support the newer sansa players then?

It does work but is regarded as "unstable" due to a few small bugs... full details here http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaAMS

£2.13 ;-)
Would've paid for my lunch... oh well, it was still a bargain at £40.--

It is worth noting that you also get £2 credit to spend on MP3s when you buy this player.

I paid £40 the other day as well.....

Owning one, I have to say for something that goes on your belt or in a pocket, it's really shiny and scratchable. It's advisable to get a gel/silicon skin for it, 2.99 from you know where. Still no protection for the screen though. maybe some strategic clingfilm use :P

Price has gone up 5p this morning to £38.33... they are very odd with their pricing but it's still a deal :)

supports gapless playback. this works better with FLAC as VBR has a tiny transition.
this is important for music without the 2 second gap between tracks, dance, house, pop.

Bought one.

Any suggestions for good headphones? I know the Sennheiser CX300 II are always reasonably priced, but it would be good to have a set that's suitable for gym use (i.e. with some feature to stop them falling out).
#17
It says it may need an extra two days for delivery.

As a prime member would it still come next day or would I have to wait a couple of day?

Thanks.
#18
At this price, it would be rude not to. Have some heat and rep.
#19
Just cancelled an order for a 2GB Ipod Shuffle and got one of these instead. Thanks!
#20
got the 2gb one fom currys for £20 and stuck in an old 4gb sd card - it will take up to 8gb so this could be a cheaper option
good for the money and dead simple to load / delete tunes from - not like i tunes hate it
found the earphones not as comfortable as my old sony ones - but this could just be my ears
set settings to outside europe to let volume go that we bit louder
#21
I don't advise using the bundled earphones that come with anything, they're usually really cheap and you should buy something better. I like over the ear headphones so I use Sennheiser PX100s, there's excellent in-ear headphones like the CX-300s or similar from other manufacturers. The increase in sound quality will be immense compared to the pack-in phones that probably cost £1 to make as this player is all about sound quality over flashy features.

when it says may take an extra 2 days it usually dont make a difference it should just be delivered like normal

Mine took a bit longer to dispatch than usual... though I only ever use super saver delivery.
Arrived this morning anyway - really pleased with it, though wasn't expecting it to be quite so tiny.

Back to £40.41 now.

Expired. Strange how Amazon prices fluctuate

Old £40.41 deal here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/651466/sandisk-sansa-clip-8gb-mp3-player-w

Mine came today as I too was surprised at how small it was. Connected it up the PC and upgraded the firmware using the firmware update too. Very simple to do

http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4303/session/L3NpZC9qcm9lNXBaag%3D%3D/sno/0

I just need to transfer some music to the internal memory as my 8gb micro sd card is pretty full.

I found the bundled headphones to be OK. and it works great when wired into my car radio (though the volume needs to be set higher than for a cd)

EDIT: According to the manual the maximum SD card it will take is 16gb

Arrghh, been umming and arring whether to get one or not and now the price has gone back up, typical. Amazon must think they are dealing in stocks and shares not products!

Okay, I'm a bit confused. On the player there are some random song which must have been there when I got it. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? When I connect it up to my computer I've checked all the folders and they aren't in there.

read the instructions easy to do - but you have to keep "danny boy" !
