You only use 1 GB? That's between 8-15 albums only (one day of music). If I go on holiday I take 16gb worth at least, especially as I prefer using high quality audio...

I would also say about this player - the shuffle function is not very good. Quite often I will get 2 tracks from the same album back to back, and if starting from scratch it seems to cycle through the same songs as before. Basically 'random' is not truly random. Having said that, I am on my 3rd one and still think it's the best out there for size, flexibility and sound quality. Good at this price. Hot.

I think a lot of people using Sansa gear are also using lossless formats. I know I fill 8gb alarmingly quick;y and still have to rotate albums weekly.
The battery on mine lasts so long I cant remember the last time I charged it
