Been swinging up and down...

Please don't compare this deal to the one from curry's where they had 1 or 2 in stock and sold it for £25
This is from Amazon, free delivery and readily available stock...

8gb, radio and expandable memory through SD card....

Sandisk quality is amazing and the price is wooof!

Waiting to see it freezing from IPOD/IPHONE users :P

Currys have this back in stock now...
But its the same price - £39.99

With micro sd cards being so cheap ,it may be better to look for a cheaper 2GB model and stick an 8GB micro sd card in it - provided you can find it £10 cheaper than this deal .This will give you a 10GB mp3 player. Currys have the 2GB model at £29.99 - but i am sure its cheaper elsewhere ( there are some at £19.99 delivered on ebay).

Got mine this past week from currys for 24.99, been after one for ages and finally managed it whilst in stock!!! This however is a good price from amazon now that currys have reverted back to their 39.99 price!!
#3
Mine got delivered 2 days ago as well from Currys for the bargain price of £24.99, just need a MicroSD now. Good player none the less.

PS: I have an ipod touch 64gb as well, but this baby trounces it on SQ alone!

Got mine for £41 from amazon last week - It's a great little player - Just make sure you set the region to Rest of World or America and not Europe otherwise the volume level will be really low (due to eu regulations) and they'll be no high volume option under settings.

Cheaper to get the 2gb version. I paid £19.99 for that. Then get a cheap mem. card or just use one you already have.....
#6
max memoery supported is 8GB, so maximum you'll go to is 10GB. Whereas if you get the 8GB and add the 8GB card, you'll have 16GB, which is quite reasonable. 10GB, if you use HQ audio files, won't give you much to store!

I've got a 16GB micro SD card in mine.
Set region to anything but Europe to avoid your volume being limited.

I've had one of these for a few weeks. Really handy, great for the gym, the clip-on feature is most useful. Sounds fine too.
#9
Even better, 16 on the 8 will make 24GB :)

My only concern about it, though, would be the battery life, 15hours isn't that long. My ancient sony used to do ~30hrs 2yrs ago but has now gone weaker

Mine is 8 + 16GB. I can't really comment on battery life as I tend to plug it in to my PC when i get home out of habit.
If you don't need loads of storage then the older Clip model is very cheap on eBay.

Would've recommended the Cowon i7, but it's a different league... 60 hrs of battery life is a record that stands strong till now :)

This is an extremely disappointing mp3 player which I bought for this price on Amazon about a month ago. The max volume is pathetic, I've tried it with several of my headphones, and you can barely get above a whisper. As soon as there is any kind of background noise you cannot hear a thing

I have reset mine to region: North America - this way the volume will be much higher.....

Change your region to North America or Rest of World then volume restrictions will be taken off.

like I said before, above.

This is a fantastic player, got mine 2 days ago from Currys as well for 24.99, they put the price up to 39.99 yesterday!

Its even better if you put Rockbox on it (Alternate firmware)
Itll do absolutely everything, and is about as customisable as you can get! (Itll even play Doom!) :)

Lol, I'd like to retract my comment, and thank the users of HUKD for sorting out my volume problem. Damn European volume limiter... Thanks for your help chaps
#23
Once you have chosen a non-European location, there is also a high/low volume setting.

Go to Settings --> System Settings --> Volume and set it to high.

With that set to high, my Clip+ goes to volumes that really hurt with in-ear headphones and slightly hurt with larger open/closed headphones.

If you want it seriously loud - Rockbox it and the sound quality is incredible too by using Rockbox - have a look here
SAnsa clip+ Rockbox

I had the original Sansa Clip - along with numerous IPods, Sonys etc) and I can honestly say the Sansa gets the most use now - I sold the original on here and bought the Sansa Clip+ and its awesome. Now with a 16GB card in it.

A cheap 16Gb card here from Jersey
Sansdisk 16GB micro card
Just one word of warning the Clip+ can be a little fussy about which cards it likes - mine didn't like PNYs

Came off the fence at £24.99 from Currys and seems fine. Not sure I would pay £40 for it. Would probably go for the small one and add a card.
Bought a LG Pop for £45 to use as an mp3 player on holiday which was great, had a camera and games, and it was a phone too. Didn't bring it back though as a local bought it off me as they couldn't get them in Cuba. At the £40 mark I would go for the pop again and use decent headphones.

ive got sansa fuse and i pod never use the i pod nuff said!

I have a Sansa Clip 2GB languishing in the bottom of as drawer as foolishly i selected European Region. The volume level is dreadful. Any advice on changing this over to the Rest of the World would be seriously appreciated as i have tried several times but failed.
#28
In Asda in Ashford yesterday the Sansa Clip 2gb was down to £8 - but only one left in stock. It might be worth checking your local Asda.
#29
How do you change the region setting?

How do you change the region setting?

I think it's System Settings > Reset to factory default.
You should back up your music first though!

It's now gone up in price - anyone know where it can be got cheaper at the moment?
