I bought the 8gb from Amazon two weeks ago but sent it back - it uses Microshaft media player 10 and I couldn't get the music info for the albums I downloaded. I found it a pain copying music to the player and sometimes the music came out distorted! (copied from my cd). I had to put the bit rate right up to try and get the best sound out of it. And some music I had copied disappeared! The videos I copied from my phone weren't very good quality and the only way to get out of the video (even the on off button didn't do anything) was to push and hold fast forward - the player then jumps to the music section!?

Oh and when I first charged it up, it displayed a screen with what looked like striped wallpaper and would not switch off or do anything - I had to wait until the battery ran out, and recharge before it 'worked'.

But on the plus side - very good battery life...

I use musicmatch for my iRiver H10, Creative Zen Vision M and Samsung T9, never caused me any issues

You can drag and drop with it. You don't have to use WMP as far as I was aware (now being a Linux user).

What headphones were you using? The stock ones? Also what file format? I only mention as I've listened to mp3's encoded using LAME and it was great.

The Rockbox scene are currently porting it. The release is still a dev release though. Excellent player from what I've seen and used of it. Definitely good competition for the iPod Nano. Lack of Ogg Vorbis support is what holds me back from buying one.

These are ace, I have the 8gb version. My advice: install Rockbox on it.

Just as a heads up, this is currently £79.99 on Amazon!!!!!

Now £73.29. See "more buying choices and you'll see it for this price direct from Amazon. The marketplace price is cheaper but I'd personally stick with Amazon.
