Excellent website so thanks to all you guys for the excellent finds, hopefully this is a decent deal, I thought so; as i paid more then double not very long ago...

Also on amazon...

SanDisk 1gb Cruzer Micro U3 Smart 2.0 USB Flash Drive ........ £7.99, not a bad price to be honest, decent brand and U3 based model.

Hopefully these are decent finds and some will benefit!

That is some good find!! I was guna go for the 16.66 SD card which has now gone up, iv known found a bargain!! thx

The Standard Sandisk SD card is about £16, the price keeps changing in the basket. and its very weird!!! hheheheh - but the Sandisk Ultra one will be well handy with my one off discount from Amazon, like 5% cheaper! Nice find again

Great Price !

To think I paid £50.00 for a 512mb sd card (Yes it was a long while back!)

Does anyone know If the ultra is one of the fastest sd card's about ?

Will I notice a difference between the Ultra and a standard card in my digi camera
as it seems to take a few seconds to write to the card, and could be better.

Thanks.

What camera do you have ? If its a compact digital, then probably not,, the faster cards are designed for DSLR's with fast processing speeds.. The ULTRA II's are fast cards, but you can get faster, think ULTRA II cards come with a 5 year warranty. You can get Extreme III from Sandisk, which are faster and have a 10 year guarantee ( I think )

Thanks for the Info cytoon, Its an Optio T20 which is a digital compact so perhaps I may not notice a difference.

But hey at that price I guess I dont mind !

Thanks again.

I'm afraid not, the XDA Orbit takes one of the smaller SD cards - Micro SD by memory.

Brilliant - Just bought one via the link. Many thanks

These ultra cards are amazing fast at saving photos when used in a digital camera. You will notice a big difference in how quick it saves each photo between standard SD cards and this Sandisk Ultra II. As HottestDeal pointed out sandisk have brought out an even faster version, the Extreme III.

anyone had any experience with the following?

slightly lower price (albeit from a marketplace seller) and 150x compared to 60x

Personally I wouldn't trust these unknown brands - how annoyed would you be if you took 900 photos on holiday only to lose them due to the card becoming corrupted? Go for sandisk! (i don't work for them by the way!)

cheers, gonna get the sandisk...

I've used Transcend cards before and been pleased with them - but SanDisk reputation is second to none and I would choose this - I doubt there is any application where the extra speed claimed for the Transcend card would be noticeable...
#18
You should notice the difference in speed when downloading onto your PC more than you would when taking pictures.
#19
The speed of the card really makes a difference when taking videos with a digital camera. If it is too slow then you will only be able to take short video clips. However if it is fast then you should be able to take videos up to the full capacity of the card, providing your camera lets you do this!

do you think that would make any difference between these two, or just compared to a standard speed card?

I bought the Transcend 2GB 150x from modernkm. They are £9.99 plus postage which came to around £14. If you select the link from loxley and then the new and used, they are in there as the first listed. Arrived next day and worked like a dream in the Canon A640 I just bought.
