SanDisk Ultra 128 GB Dual USB Flash Drive USB 3.0 up to 150 MB/s £23.95 @ Amazon.

Quickly and easily transfer your files between OTG-enabled Android smartphones and tablets and PC and Mac computers. Free up space to add more photos, videos, songs and other stuff. Simply connect the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 to the micro-USB port of your Android device and move content to the drive. Quickly transfer files at up to 150 Mbps from drive to computer with the high-speed USB 3.0 connector. Spend less time waiting to transfer a full-length movie to the drive than with a standard USB 2.0 drive. The SanDisk Memory Zone app (available on Google Play) helps you manage your phone's memory, making it easy to move, view, copy or back up your photos and videos to the drive, so you are always ready to take more videos and pictures on the go.

Do these overheats, like the smaller ultra models?

They do tend to get a little warm

How to boast about speed without mentioning write speed.

I always assume 4MB/s unless otherwise stipulated. 4MB/s is probably closer to the truth than the read speed figure, even if it is apparently USB 3.0

Most USB 2.0 drives I've pushed in a USB 3.0 slot read faster than they do in USB 2.0..... same [email protected] 4MB/s write speed though.

Any decent drives out there with better 'write' speeds?

The Grixx models come on here now and again. I've had 3. One died after a year. Write speeds perhaps 80 MB/s or so. Usually about £20 for the 128 GB model at 7dayshop. I use them for backups.
