Can you tell me why the Toshiba is better? What does U3 mean? Sorry I'm a complete novice when it comes to these things...would be great if you can help.

I don't think Any phones can handle a u3 card. S7 certainly can't.

*sorry I mean that the card can be used in an s7 but it won't work faster than a non u3 card

UHS (Ultra High Speed) U3 minimum write speed 30MB/s, U1 minimum write speed 10MB/s.

Toshiba card also has a 90MB/s read spead.

Really? Surely it would still work, just perhaps not at lightning speed?

U3 required for 4k recordings. Phone, Go Pro, DJI drones etc.

Gone for this with the VUB5 code for 5% and hopefully 3% Quidco. Should be a noticeably faster card AND cheaper. Sandisk and Toshiba supposedly share manufacturing facilities so it is likely to be very similar quality (based on my fail rate on these things I wouldn't leave anything important on them without a backup).

For reference this Tosh card is £35 with Amazon supplying: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Memory-Exceria-MicroSDXC-Adapter/dp/B01EAKAUUK/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics-accessories&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1475837689&sr=1-9&keywords=32gb%2Bmicro%2Bsd&th=1

and what looks to be the equivalent Sandisk model is £48: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-microSDXC-Memory-Action/dp/B01DYN4USM/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1475838284&sr=1-3&keywords=128gb+micro+sd+u3+sandisk

Been impressed with these, and I was always a Sandisk Sceptic, particularly on Samsung devices (used to break down very quickly).
However i now have three of these, one in my S5, and have had no problems at all (others in a Sony z3C and in a Moto XPlay).
Interestingly enough, I replaced the Samsung 128gb one in my S5 with this after it messed up constantly (yet the Samsung works fine in my Sandisk Clip.... Work that one out).
Anyhow, highly recommended SD card.

Anyhow just to complete my tale, I have just ordered a Nexus 6p from Cex (grade A, 64gb) for £360, which doesn't even allow an SD card. (Thought it worth noting as I was interested in the One plus 3, but I think a grade A Nexus for a few quid more is just slightly better for me, and maybe others).

ive gone for the tosh, its cheaper, and better value with it being technically faster memory. more futureproofed

The price of these seems to have been pretty static over the last year. Or is it just me? Can remember the Argos deals before that at a similar price, which Amazon used to match too. Maybe it was wishful thinking that they'd be 15 quid by now.

yeah im not sure high capacity cards are gonna drop for a while. Micro sd's are used across the board by so many devices its not like there's something smaller and quicker and nor that smaller and quicker wold be of any benefit atm.

when a decent brand 128gb is about £15 ill bite.

Worth noting that a 256gb card is priced at £128.99. Maybe when it drops below £100 delivered we'll see the price 128gb cards at 15 quid.

200gb card is probably a better barometer and that's currently priced at about £80.

Interesting how static the price has been since around Brexit and how volitile it was prior.

Also I can't get over how static the price of 64gb cards has been. The bloody things have been going up recently too.

Unfortunately that integral seems to not work well in my android devices. Currently have to restart my Samsung tab S2 and then it displays for a bit as formatted as internal memory. My nvidia shield tv didn't like it either.
