SanDisk Ultra II 2GB SD Memory Card - £6.89

Just bought one of these from PC World for £6.89

Play.com are offering this card for £8.99.

PC World's price on this is £29.99. A difference of £21.

So using their price match policy you get it for £29.99 - £21 - £2.10 = £6.89.

Play have reduced their price to £7.99 - thus now you can get it from Pcworld for only £5.79 (£29.99 - £7.99 = £22 - £2.20 = £5.79)

Good price.
The PC world 'original' price of £29.99 is laughable.

No
When these were first launched that would have been reasonable.
My brother bought a Sandisk extreme III card for about £90 a few years ago. Now it's less than £20.
Technology moves on, while the original price will stay as ever.

Nooooooooooooo! Get it from the play.com and post to you home. Otherwise you will spend at least an hour from start to end plus driving , bus fare etc. to save that £2.10 and possibly running a maths lesson to teach them how to do an extra reduction 10% off the difference or 110% off the price reduction from the higher price at the till!

I fully agree  - simply not worth all the hassle to save only £2 or so.

Just to confirm I have just picked bought one.
I went into PC World, asked for the manager and then he picked the SD card off the shelf (I had reserved it online before hand anyhow).

I asked him to confirm that the offer was valid (I had print outs of both Play and PCWorld offer (see link above) ) and I went to the till and paid £6.89. All in all it took 2 minutes longer than had I paid £29.99.

FYI, they have lots in stock. Heat and rep added.

The SanDisk Ultra II is rated at: Read 10MB/s, Write 9MB/sec

The Sandisk Ultra II is the current bundle card for all DSGi camera packages. They shouldn't run out for at least another 4 weeks.

Been and got mine no hassle took minutes, no waiting days for it to come in the post far better than getting from play and saving nearly £2.

There are plenty of reasons to buy reliable stock from DSG (even if you hate PCWorld) with the number of ebay fakes around

Play.com now have this card for £7.99 so with 110% price matching that makes it only £5.79
but before I go and upset PCW anyone know if they will let me buy two or will they only price match on one card ?
if I can only buy 1 can I get away with going to another branch and getting another price matched there.
just eager to try out my new camera.
