The Sandisk will work a treat with the Casio

MMC is used in Mobile Phones mainly.

I bought two of these for that price on Play last week after a LOT of searching. I'm well pleased.

hello again.

i bought 2 of these cards. they both work fine with no need for formatting or anything on my Casio EX-Z75 as you said.

but one of them was for the in laws kodak C-530.

when i put the card in the 1st thing it says is "card needs formatting" but when i proceed to the format it instantly says "format failed".

is this card simply not compatible?

any advise would be appreciated.

thank you.

I just bought SanDisk 2GB Extreme III SD Card for £16 from mymemory.com (but there is £4.95 flat rate postage so it is worthwhile if you buy a few other items at the same time). I used a 10% voucher code "lovesandisk" but it did not take off 10% for this item though it did for my other Sandisk items. I am inquiring mymemory.com why this is. (If there is 10% off then this takes the Extreme III £1.40 more expensive than the Ultra II). The Extreme III may be a better buy as it reads and writes at 20MB/s, twice the speed of the Ultra II. However this is only useful if you really need the speed which in most applications that you don't. http://www.mymemory.co.uk/images/products/1106989410.jpg

Update on the above note (29 Aug)Well done to Mymemory.com, what fantastic service, I made an inquiry why there was no 10% off on the Extreme III SD on Monday (Bank holiday), the goods arrived today (Wednesday) and the 10% refunded straight away today too. This makes the Extreme III SD at £14.40!

Can't you buy a micro SD Ultra II 2GB for a a couple of quid more. Whats with the high rrp for this? Doesn't seem to make much sense to me.
#22
One of the advantages of SD and its derivatives is that the prices tend to be fairly close, aside from the 'cutting edge' sizes - why would you want to pay a couple of pounds more for a micro SD when only a standard SD card is needed?

With micro SD, I use a 2gigger in my N80 and then if needed, pop it into the conversion cradle that came with it, and 'voila', it behaves as a 2 gigger SD card......practical and simple, me thinks?

Future proof yourself if the extra money is little, I just bought a Sandisk MicroSD memory kit, this comes for a couple of quid more a miniSD adapter which itself fits into a standard SD card.

Yes , you can have 1Gb or 2GB and I paid £11.51 for the 2GB version as it is about £2 more than the 1GB version (with the 10% discount using the lovesandisk code which did not work when ordering at the weekend but after sending an email to them they refunded 10% immediately mymemory.com). This is versatility at its best: the microSD fits into the minSD adapter which itself fits into a standard SD adapter! One size fits all! I also bought a SanDisk 1GB ULTRA II Micro SD for £8.09 with the discount. The 2GB version was out of stock and would have been a better buy, however, cannot wait, even 1GB can hold about 1200 pictures as my 3 megapixel camera prodcues 0.8MB size file per shoot on the mobile. I intended also to use these adapters with the microSD ultra II. Instead of buying the 2GB Ultra II I went instead for the Extreme III SD which was £14.39 with the 10% off (better than PLAY.COM).

Also MicroSD to Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter. This one is from Mymemory. Quite expensive at £3.99 for what it is but if you already have MicroSD and need ProDuo as well then it's good value:
