Bought this last week for £20.99 from the MyMemory
Was a deal posted on here.

Kit has arrived and is very small and you wonder how it manages all the functionality!

Isn't this likely to produce a hefty duty/VAT surcharge from Royal Mail, as it's over the £18 limit?

I also purchased this great offer considering original price. Video reviews if you search on youtube.
Works well but a few notes for those consdiering purchase:
It is not compactable with ipaq pda etc
you will need an adapter to connect to scart, not many devices have a composite connection ie the red white and yellow phono plugs
time has to be reset everytime you turn it off
i could not get it to sync with my sky box to display programme schedule (that doesn't mean that this doesn't work!)
Overall worked very well with K800i mobile (you willneed an adapter for the mico m2 card to convert to SD), and with the PSP card goes straight in. Quality was not too bad even on 37" plasma tv!
One final bounus this will connect via USB to a pc, so you may convert your videos to mp4 and transfer to your pc or hard drive to store.

Nice one mate, tried to order from My Memory but they had run out of stock by the time i did, been looking for it for the same price elsewhere but couldnt find it.

Just ordered mine now, Heat added ! :)
#9
Ordered mine thanks. Hope it works with my ipod touch.
#10
Dam out of stock notification now from them ! They say stock is due in but as its classed as clearance im sceptical. :(
#11
Before this thread is expired like the last one - i got two from the MyMemory deal as the girlfriend ordered one as well and only need one. so if this goes out of stock anyone can have mine for the £20.99 (which is what i paid) plus postage. It's unopened - and still in the envelope it was dispatched in.

What does this do? Do you plug in into a TV or set top box or something and it records the output to a memory card?
#13
Any constraints on the size of card it will take?

could this also be used to connect to pc and transfer a divx to memory card and played on tv? a very cheap budget media centre type?
#16
If I was to connect this to my Sky+ box could I record a sky+ programme directly to an sd card and watch the results on my lappy?

Yes. That's providing you can get the schedule record to work. I couldn't but if anyone has got this function to work I'd be grateful for any ideas as to where I am going wrong?

Yes but quality limited on big screen. Really for small portable devices.

I would be really concerned about this boxes ability to play anything that it hadn't recorded itself. The whole area of video format compatabiity is a complete nightmare even on a PC.
#22
Card size: I'm using a 4gb sony produo thingy and it works fine

I thought DIVX movies available on the internet were normally held in an AVI file which is a different container format to MP4 which from an earlier post, I thought was the container format supported by this device?

"could this also be used to connect to pc and transfer a divx to memory card and played on tv?"

You might be better off with the aigo e868 - not only does it have an incredible screen so you can use it as a portable player - it also has a tv output and i've not met a divx file yet that i've chucked on it that its not played.
#25

#26

There is no reason why it shouldnt be able to record games, why you would want to do it another matter :-D

I thought of connecting mine to the ps3 but no composite output. You can not output (unless someone can tell me otherwise?) from the hdmi andscart at the same time. The scart is a special lead too , so the only way i see is to have an adapter for the scart as it goes into the tv.
