I bought this kettle some weeks ago, seems to be a permanent reduction!

Still it's a nice looking kettle, the light up LED's look great, larger than normal capacity and boils quickly, only drawback is it takes an age for it to turn off after it boils, not a real problem as the illuminated switch is soft touch.

Sandstrom is a DSG brand, not sure why this is so hot?

I've had one of these for two years so far, still going strong. Not a cool walled model though, so only grab by the handle if it's just boiled.

Anyone got any other good recommendations for a kettle. Doesn't have to be a big one.

Same here. HITACHI instead of SANDSTROM. Not a bad kettle and tends to leak slightly at the base of where the handle is fitted. Limescale net lasted about a month but overall not bad considering I paid 20 quid in currys two years ago.

Sandstrom? Isn't that Dixon's and Curry's own brand? Highly doubt this budget kettle has been £59.99 for more than the few days required to claim a reduction in sale price.

As the actress said to the bishop X)

I get my kettles from ASDA as they have cheap ones for £5 or less. Maybe only 2.3KW but still very good.

there is a conspiracy with half price kettles!

I think we are being tricked into thinking kettles are half price when maybe they are only worth the half price?

    i will look into this

Would you not have to be a bit looney to try and pick the kettle up by anything other than the handle ?

I have just discarded my MAJIMIX kettle and found my Sandstrom kettle in the loft and have started using it again - it is infinitely better than my MAJIMIX to use.
