You cant of bought one of these at Argos.. Sandstrom is an own brand that Dixons make.
I bought a kettle of theirs last year and didnt last that long (it was only £9.99 though)

Yup, correct. It's something I found out myself a few weeks ago when I was looking into their new line of Sandstrom HDMI cables, which they sell for up to £80.

Good to see that in a world of constant change, you can always rely on DSG to be ****.

bought one a couple of months ago for £30. It's not amazing! Doesn't toast evenly, but for £15 it's fine.

Surely, this must be the same toaster; only difference seems to be that they have added silver to the dials/knobs. On that basis, this is a decent reduction, heat added!

THIS looks like another slightly restyled model.

It does look remarkably similar to the Argos cookworks toaster which I believe they have stopped selling. Here's an old HUKD on it

Own brands for stores like currys will just be manufacturers they have contracted to print their brand on, currys wont be actually making it themselves. It does have a few small differences but I would guess that its probably the same manufacturer that made the cookworks one.

None in Rhyl :( but heat added, looks a bargain

I imagine it's the same but rebadged, like with a lot of coffee machines. In the market for a toaster, might give this a bash. Hot!

Just grabbed one the quality seems good.

Does anyone know if this toaster actually accommodates a standard-size slice of white bread, as that seems to be something of a rarity these days....

Hi no 8 from an ageing no 6, dont think so, got the tefal one on offer a few weeks ago and can heartily recommend.

Got one from Kings Lynn today They are not on shelves so you need to ask
Cant go wrong for £15 with a years warranty
heat added good find

I reckon they're trying to sell these off cheap because they printed the name incorrectly at the factory.

I know! It drives me nuts having to flip over bread to get all of it toasted.
