Like alot of other deals, you can get a cheaper memory card by using the PC world price match policy.

Take a print off of the £7.99 card at play.com, then take a print off of the £18.89 one at PC World. For good measure I take the price match policy as well.
The Difference is £10.90.
This takes 10% to £1.09
£7.99 - £1.09 = £6.90
Good deal to go with my other post.
Hope it helps!

Now only £6.99 @ Play - thus pricematch price at PCW = £5.80

Anyone like to explain why this has been voted cold?

I was wondering that, I'm gonna attempt this tomorrow. Saves waiting for the post from any web based company.

And they only price match certain places. I went in the other day for a set of headphones which were £30 in PC World but overclocers had them for £20. They told me they do not price match overclockers and showed me a list of about 15 places they price match.

They price match play though. Or did
#4
I cant remember all of what was on the list but amazon was, comet, currys, argos, and some others

This deal has been posted before.

For good measure I take the price match policy as well.

It would help if you provided a link to the price match policy.

I was searching all morning for that PC world thread, and for the life of me couldn't find it.

Neither hot nor cold for me. I wouldn't use price match at Pissy World on principle.

All they're trying to do is steal business from the online vendors so, they hope, they'll eventually have no competition and can charge what they like. You might be saving a few pence now but ...........

And, I would never voluntarily expose myself to the bunch of morons Pissy World employ as trying to get them to price match probably ranks with returning defective goods - you're guaranteed an argument :x

I can hardly see a few price matches putting the likes of Play, Amazon and the likes out of Business.

Maybe because this gets listed everytime the price changes slightly.
It's been listed a few times before.

considering Play's price inlcudes delivery I dont think there will be any saving unless you walk or cycle to PC world.

I fail to see the point in any PC World price match unless the savings get above £4 or so!!!!!!!!!!

The advantage of PCW is that you can walk in and take away the item you want straight away rather than wait for delivery.

All depends on individual needs and wants at the end of the day.

Voted hot on this, especially as the Play price is now £6.99
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/3251313/Sandisk-Micro-SD-2GB/Product.html
The PCW price is still £18.89
Thus difference of £11.90
10% of £11.90 = £1.19
£6.99 - £1.19 = £5.80

Can anyone verify this works with an N95?

Edit: Forget that - review on Play confirms it does

Can't see why not, guess there would be a limit on bulk buy, but not for a couple.

Yep, confirmed - i got 2 this afternoon - just took 2 off the shelf and went to the till armed with my screen print from Play and a print-out of PCW price promise.
Manager was called to till who looked at the Play print out and said we don't match play. I then showed him the price promise stating they do and he agreed - authorised £5.80 each.
Bargain

Good hint to take the print outs with you.

This must be one of the coldest good deals i've had. Could i have got it cheaper?
