Wonder how over priced the insurance is in the first place and why a cash back. Companies should just be more competitive in the first place.

mine camoe out at £626.24 when i can get it with asda for £385!!!! and get quidco cashback of £35! keep the satnav!!
This has to be cold - charge well over the odds for insurance and give you a freebie worth a great deal less than the difference in price. Santander - awful customer services too; would not want to deal with them in a crisis. Cold.
Seconded on Santander customer service being awful. Their insurance is probably run by another company though so may be okay... but I had an Alliance & Leicester internet savings account on which the bonus ran out so I opened a Santander internet savings account through A&L. That was the 18th August and I still have no internet access to the new account. I needed to provide id despite A&L and Santander being the same bank). They sent my closing interest by cheque even though I asked it to be put in my new account. Paperwork sent through the post has been general and inaccurate too. At the same time I opened a new internet account with Egg and it was up and running within 5 minutes and no id needed as I was an existing customer.
Mine came up £985 and tesco quoted me £515
