Just called Asda at Glasgow Fort, the model quoted by member of staff is the Sanyo CES32W507-B, although it does not appear on the Sanyo uk website?
The price is not £329 she says it is around the £430 mark as they currently have 10% off TVs.
Where did you see the add?
#4
why are people voting HOT for this? there's no proof

Sorry no camera at the moment.. Will try a brief description tho..It has a 2 inch black shiny facing, with thin silver surround and a 3-4 inch silver strip along the bottom (speaker), and a central silver long stand which stops approx 5 inches away from either side... hope that makes sense...

Trying to put the photo on can anyone help!!?
#24
Asda in Ashton-under-lyne had then in last night Wednesday. they where going like hot cakes.
#25
Sounds like their similar Dom Perignon offer (more like a scam) where they have 'very' limited stock and only at certain stores. I personally would spend a little more and get a better TV like the LG 32LB75.

You need to upload it on to server i.e. photobucket and then when you make a post click on the little box with a mountain and sun in it, then just input the link that photobucket gave you and tada.

Any probs PM me and ill drop you my email i'll put it up for you

I've not long returned from the Chandlers Ford store with this TV and set it up. They had 11 in stock. Price is up as £479, reduced to £329, and there is a 10% discount on branded LCD TVs running until 2nd December, so I just paid £296.10 for it.

It looks fantastic in 'the flesh', far better than the picture gives it credit for. I don't normally like LCDs with any silver on, preferring all black, but this DOES look very nice. Simple set up, found all of the Freeview channels, and we were up and running within 3minutes.

Great TV for a stunning price. Voted hot hot hot!!

Copy of the till receipt for any remaining non-believers!!! -

mod edit: image removed as it contains personal info for store staff

I had a similar Sanyo to this on Rental and the upscaled picture quality of normal standard definition broadcasts (BBC1, ITV etc) was not very good at all. I had the set changed for a Phillips one with an in-built tuner and it is 100 times better.

Good deal though, even though the upscaler isn't the best, you can always use something else to upscale your pictures. Or if your buying it for use with a Xbox 360 or PS3 in HD Format I am sure this would be a great set for it, never had problems with HD pictures, just grainy SD ones.

Hi all, just went to Swindon to grab one, the offer is only on in Superstores or Very large 24hr stores.

Each store had between 5-10

They are £329 and the BARCODE number is

499433423734

Offer expires once they run out of stock!

The swindon store had 3 more in stock when I left at 3AM..

You do get 10% off making it £300!

The tuner is FREEVIEW and is good, I am in a week area and it picks up as many channels as my 50" Sharp which is much better than any of the freeview boxes in the house, I am in a weak area..

QUALITY is superb..

I have hooked up my XBOX 360 to check HD content and look real good..

SD Freeview look good depending on channel some of the low bit rate channels don't fair so well..

Nice and bright, good sound...

Black levels are ok, not as good as the Sharp (LCD) or Pioneer (Plasma) in the house..

I reckon this the BEST deal I have had of this site, been trying to find a cheap 32" with freeview for a while... did'nt want to spend more than £300 so this was PERFECT...

Thanks all!

Can this one be wall-mounted? I was thinking about the Hannspree at £299 from eBuyer - any idea whether this is better?

Thanks.
#36
yes, it can be mounted on wall

Just purchased the last one from Mansfield. Had problems though, this morning at 6 am went in and told them, they said no, so read more on here, rang asda house, they said the deal is NATIONWIDE and if the store has any problems to ring them direct. Which is what happened to me when I went back in. Didnt get the 10% off though, but still got it for £329. So Christmas present for mum and dad. Sheffield has sold out for anyone over that way.:-D
#38
oh and the person that got it for £269, what they did was the deal was 10% off the price which at the time was £479 so when it was reduced to £329 the system was still taking off the 10% from the 479 price and applying it to the £329 price. Hence more than the £32.90. They were very lucky indeed. I had a woman who came over to the register and made sure that when it took the 10% off which came to £269, she added it back up so it came to £329 total.....can anyone advise if I should have also got the 10% off too...which is £32.90......thanks.
#39
How do you get the 10? off?

All POS prices are usually pre-discount. The price should have been altered and then had the discount applied. Otherwise the discount was never actually recieved.

My Supercentre had a rather large quantity of these (I think it was 18 Sanyos as well as other branded units) delivered on Wednesday for the offer. Followed by a delivery of 30 Wiis.

The offer began at midnight and TVs didn't last long at all and the Wiis even less so. It's almost as if people are only in ASDA, wandering about all day every day in case Wiis arrive.

Yet they can't seem to give the PS3s away - in fact they're being sent away to free up space for stuff that actually sells.
